Jay's POV

Jay," she says with a bored tone
That's when I suddenly noticed a truck coming straight at us and the brake was not working so I turned the car in such a way that both of us nearly fell to the side and

BOOM

We crashed into the tree. I was thrown out of the car but Aera was still inside So I quickly ran up and pulled her out of the car and carried her to a distance

The car's engine had caught fire when I pulled her out so Aera kept coughing. After the cops came and took our statements I quickly took her to the hospital and informed the rest of what was happening

By the time we reached the hospital, she was completely unconscious

She was taken in and I slumped outside waiting for the doctor.
"Jay" I hear someone calling me I look up to see Jake. He comes up to me and hugs me trying to comfort me

"Did the doctors say something?" He asks. I shook my head in reply. That's when the doors swing open and I see the doctor coming outside

"She is fine but due to inhaling Carbon monoxide she is unconscious She will wake up soon and she has a few fractured bones which will heal so no issues"

I breathe a sigh of relief along with everyone and Aera is transferred into a room All of us go there, and that's when I get a call It is Police Officer Kim

"Mr Park This accident was planned by someone to hurt you and Ms Sim. We caught the truck driver and he confessed" Officer Kim says

"Jin-SSI I need you to find out who it was under any circumstance," I say to him and all faces turn towards me as I cut the call I walk towards Aera and hold her hand

"Haru you are not leaving the house for a few days" I say

"What??" Haru asks

"No questions Haru please," I say

"Jay, Son tell us what happened" Mr Sim asks

"This was a planned accident and we escaped a narrow death," I say and there is a looming silence

"Hyung it would be better if all of us work from home for a few days at least until everything settles" Jungwon says

"We will take care of the company work until everything is settled"Sunghoon's dad said leaving no room for argument. It's not like I would have gone anyway. From the corner of my eye, I see Sunghoon pulling Haru into a hug Soon the nurse comes in and says that the visiting time is over So all of us except one need to leave.

"I'll Stay," I said

"Jay you are also hurt so wouldn't it be better If one of us stayed to look after her" Heeseung Hyung asked. I looked at Mr and Mrs Sim and said

"I promise I'll take care of her. So let me stay"

"Jay we do not doubt that you will take good care of her. But it would be best if you also had medical attention which you have been denying till now. So for tonight let someone else stay " Mrs Sim said

"Jay'll be here with her" Jake says putting a hand on my shoulder. I nod at him and all of us leave while Jake stays behind

Time skip

It's already night and all of us have the same question in mind "Who??"

That when the doorbell rings

Dad opens the door and lets Officer Jin inside

" Any lead officer," Sunghoon asks

" The driver confessed," Jin says

"Who is it"

"Jung Haneul and A Man that's what he said" the officer replies

"Jung Haneul and Park Seonghwa,"  Haru said

"It seems like the man wanted to hurt Jay while Jung Haneul wanted Aera,  " Officer Jin says

"What do we do you say" Mr Yang asked

" We can take Jung Haneul in custody on what the driver said but we can't touch Park Seonghwa"

"Arrest Her " I said for the first time since we came back

"Jay it can cause complications" Officer Jin said

"Arrest Jung Haneul on the charge of attempt to murder and leave Park Seonghwa to me" I say

"Are you sure?" Officer Jin asks me

"yes I am, " I say to him and walk to my room

Sunghoon's Pov

Jay just walked away after saying that Haru also has been very quiet I need her to talk to me.  I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice everyone leaving. I go towards my room and pass by Jay's room I decide to talk with him

"Jay what is going on in your brain," I ask him

'confront Seonghwa" he says

"Jay that is a dumb idea" I tell him

" We have no other choice, Hoon if I hadn't noticed in time maybe I and Aera wouldn't even be alive today" He said

"This can go both ways I know that but I have to do it and as far as I have heard He isn't someone dumb " He continues

"So yes a confrontation is necessary and will happen very shortly"

"I hope you know what you're doing and that we are always with you no matter what decision you take," I said and I left him alone with his thoughts

And walked towards Haru's Room

"Babe " I call out to her outside her door. When no one answered the door, I opened it & went inside to find her curled up in her blanket with tears in her eyes.

" Hoon, I am scared, " She says, I walk up to her & pull her into my embrace trying to comfort her,

"It's gonna be fine babe," I say and cuddle her.

I am trying to get her to calm down and stop crying.

" Hoon, Unnie will wake up right," She asks

" of course, She is going to babe," I say

That's when the door busts open and we see Jungwon breathless.  Standing there

" Aera noona' He says. and both of us spring up from the bed
" Unnie ?? "  She asks him

"She -"
