"Hello?! Zithulele?!" I panick feeling my lips trembling. The other line is silent as rustling is heard. "If you want him back alive, tell the Godfather to meet me at *** *** ***, tonight 22:30. Come alone and bring the queen" A voice suddenly speaks.

Before I can respond the line goes dead. What th- "They have Zithulele" I voice out, starring at the both of them. "What do they want in return?" The Godfather's jaw clenches as he steps closer.

"They want the queen. I don't who the queen is, I can't loose my brother" I mumble the last part. "Tell me the address, we'll deal with it" He asks. "*** *** ***. Tonight around 22:30" I suddenly remember.

"You're staying here unti-" I cut him off. "I'm leaving" I state walking towards the door. I use the same lane we used to come up here, exit the office, wave at Susan and leave the building.

As I'm about to enter the car, my arm is grabbed. "Ufunani Ntando?" I gritt out. "I'll take you home" He offers. "I'm fine, I'll leave the same way I got here" I snatch my arm away from him. "Sam's on his lunch break, he won't be back for another hour. Masihambe" He leads me to his car.

I roll my eyes at him. I open the door and get in as he does the same. I focus my eyes on the screen of my phone, avoiding any conversation with him. "So, Olwe-'' I cut him off knowing exactly what he's going to ask. "My apartment's that way" I point out and he nods. I'm silently praying that he doesn't end up speaking with me. I need to focus on Zithulele right now.

My phone rings and I look down at it before declining and placing it face down. It's the second time he's calling today. I inwardly smile before snapping back to my senses. "Aren't you going to answer that. It's been ringing for a while now" He motions to my phone as ut rings once again.

"It's not important" I decline it once again. Just two more months and I'll be out of here, just two more moths. It can't be that hard. He parks outside of the house and I reach for the door handle. "Can I take you out next week Saturday?" He stops me. Oh god. "Uhm... Prelims are starting soon, I'll probably spend my time studying. Thanks for the offer tho" I politely decline.

"I won't take up that much of your day. Just three hours, Ndiyacela" He pleads with a glint of hope in his eyes. "Ntando... I'm sorry, but I can't. I don't want to lead you on, I'm not looking for a relationship, I don't want to go on any dates and I most definitely don't want to get romantically involved with anyone, at the moment." I breathe out.

"Not even one date?" He sighs and I shake my head no. "Can I atleast walk you in?" He pleads and I reluctantly nod after contemplating with myself. I walk towards the door with him following behind me. I unlock the door before cautiously opening it.

"I'll be back to fetch you around 20:00" He informs as I step into the house, he follows suit. Uhm, excuse you? Sir, please respectfully go home. "Or you could just send Sam" I think out loud.

My eyes widen as my ears start heating up... "I'll come fetch you" His jaw clenches and I scrunch my face up as I walk towards the living room. There's no sign of a break in and no bullet holes anywhere on the walls. My steps come to a halt as I step into the living room.

My jaw drops as all the blood in my body travels to my ears, nose, cheeks and neck. My eyes widen and a smile pulls onto my face, I immediately forget about the past week and my anger quickly subsides.

There stands Melokuhle Zungu in all his glory looking all handsome and yummy, standing in the middle of the room. Can this gent get any more hotter?!!! I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out so instead I swallow, salivating my dry throat.

A small smile pulls onto my face as I stare at him, within a few seconds I wrap my arms around him resting my head on his chest. His arms find their way around my waist, balancing me as I tip toe to reach his height.

"I missed you" I hear him mumble onto my neck. "I missed you too" I whisper feeling butterflies invading my stomach. A throat clears disturbing our moment. Oh, he's still here. I briefly pull away from Melokuhle and turn around to face him.

"I'll see you at eight" Ntando states, holding onto his car keys. "There'll be no need for that" Melokuhle speaks before I can. "I wasn't talking to you" Ntando gritts out as he rolls his eyes... "I don't care who you're talking to, She is not going anywhere" He glares at Ntando.

"Melok-" He cuts me off. "You're not going there Olwethu. I mean it" He glances down at me. "Usafunani la? hamba" (what are you still doing here? Go) He looks back at Ntando. "Are we still on for Saturday?" He ignores Melokuhle.

We we're never on, what type of drugs is he on?! Ufuna ukungifaka enkingeni la. "Ntando, Ngicela uhambe tuu" I scrunch my face up in annoyance. "You know, I like you Olwethu. I see a future with you but you're playing hard to get busy acting like a who-" A hard punch is landed onto the left side of his face.

"Melokuhle!" I shout trying to pull him back. He's breathing heavily as he lands another punch to Ntando's jaw. I hear a cracking sound and I shut my eyes trying not to gag as I grimace at the sight of blood beneath me.

"Melokuhle, stop... Please" I place my hand on his shoulder. He immediately tenses up and he stops. "Call her that again and I'll pull out your guts and feed them to you" He threatens. He gets up wiping the blood from his cheek using the back of his hand.He steps closer to me and I take a step back. My eyes look down at Ntando, he's heavily breathing while struggling to get up from the ground.

His lip is busted, he has a bruise forming on his jaw and cheek and his eyes look swollen. He finally makes it to his feet. He glances at me and smirks before leaving. "Olwethu" He steps closer and I stay glued to my spot. "You didn't have to beat him up" I mutter, looking down at my feet. "He called you a whore" He tries to defend himself. "It doesn't matter. You're not even supposed to be here in the first place" I voice out, frustrated.

"So you don't want me here?" He looks into my eyes and I look away from him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that..." I trail off. "So you would rather be here with him then?" He scoffs, rubbing his temple. "Cha, Melokuhle. But you had no right to lay your hands on him" I sigh.

"So you want me to stand by and let him insult my woman in my presen-" I cut him off. "I am not your woman" I add. "Olwethu" His jaw ticks as he steps closer to me. "Keep your distance Melokuhle, I don't want your girlfriend calling me a homewrecker again" I breathe in trying to keep my emotions at bay. "I don't have a girlfrien-" I cut him off once again and he angrily huffs.

"Don't lie to me Melokuhle. I'm not an idiot, I saw you and her together being all lovey dovey" My voice cracks as I look away from him. "Olwethu. Listen to me, Leandra and I haven't been together in three years. The last time her and I were involved was in the nineth grade" He holds both my hands in his.

"But the picture..." I trail off. "It was taken years ago. Her and I are not together, Ngelosi yami. He assures. I look down trying to hide my smile, nodding... "Okay" I mutter. "Is that why you've been avoiding me and declining my calls?" Oops.

"I-Uhm" I keep quiet and just nod my head. "You could have atleast talked to me about it, I was worried sick about you Buhlebendalo" He sighs. "I'm sorry" I finally look up at him. "Mhm. Now come here" He pulls me closer. "Hhayi Melokuhle, I want to bath" I pull away from him knowing exactly what he was going to do.

"I'll come along" He says and I shake my head no heading towards the stairs, I stop middway when something catches my eye. I change my direction and walk into the dining room. A huge bouquet of pink roses, is placed on the table with a few boxes surrounding them.

"Are these for me?" I ask turning around to face him and he briefly nods. I tightly hug him and he lowly chuckles hugging me back.
"Thank you" I say as I look up at him. He puckers his lips and I disapprovingly shake my head. He ignores my protests as he captures my lips in his.
