Kate, Jon, and Jordan went downstairs the next morning only to see their mother cooking a breakfast feast for everyone. Kate was glad that her mother was trying to make things work with Natalie staying with them since she had started to grow a bit of a bond with the girl.

"Wow, how long have you been up?" Clark asked his wife

"A bit," Lois responded to her husband

"You made all this?" Jon questioned their mother

"Are those eggs over-medium or scrambled?" Jordan asked pointing to them

"A little bit of both and wait for our guests," Lois scolded her boys

"Good morning, how'd everybody sleep?" Clark asked they came into the room

"Well, it's, uh, nice to have a real bed at least," Natalie responded in a soft tone

"You'll get used to the roosters," Clark mumbled with a nod

"No, you won't," The Kent kids all stated together

"Well, uh, it was nice of you to lend Nat your room, Jon," John Henry spoke to the blonde

"Ah, no worries but you guys will find a way to pay me back, right?" Jon suggested before taking his seat

"All right, everybody grab a bite," Lois spoke going to sit

"Uh, you know, you didn't have to do all this, Lois," John Henry stated in response

"No, happy to, there's egg and bacon and sausage," Lois explained with a smile

"Sorry, but I'm kind of vegan," Natalie admitted softly

"Okay, I can whip up some oatmeal or slice up some fruit," Lois offered as she stood up

"I'm not really a big breakfast person, but thanks," Natalie covered to the woman

"Well, then, I guess you three should have plenty to eat," Clark spoke to his kids before dropping his glass

"Dad?" Kate asked looking at her dad

"Clark, what was that?" Lois asked before rushing the kids out

John Henry had dropped them off at school while Clark and Lois talked about what had happened. Kate walked up to Marcus with a smile before wrapping her arms around his neck in excitement to see him.

"Hey, Sweetheart," Marcus greeted as he hugged her back

"Good Morning," Kate greeted before kissing him

"What's got you all smiley this morning?" Marcus asked his girlfriend

"My dad's friend is back in town but this time his daughter came back from school so I'm not the only girl in the house anymore," Kate explained to him

"Ahh, you got another girlfriend," Marcus remarked making her chuckle

"You could say that if you want," Kate replied making him nod

"My cousins are moving into town so I was thinking that we could all go out to eat after school today," Marcus suggested to her

"That sounds like fun," Kate agreed to her boyfriend

"Great, then after school," Marcus agreed before kissing her

"I have to get to class but I'll see you after school," Kate stated before walking off

The school day had seemed to go by faster now that she had plans after school, she later found herself sitting in a booth at the diner waiting for Marcus' cousins. Marcus was scrolling on his phone as they waited before his cousins walked in and sat down in front of them.

"Kate, this is Alec and Amiee, my cousins," Marcus introduced the three

"Hi, I've heard so much about you," Kate greeted with a smile

"It's nice to meet you finally," Amiee greeted as they sat down

"What would you recommend?" Alec asked making her sigh

"I mostly eat the chicken sandwich but my brothers like the burgers if you prefer that," Kate explained to the boy

"How many brothers do you have?" Aimee questioned the blonde

"I have two brothers, Jon and Jordan," Kate responded with a smile

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Marcus spoke before walking off

"We were surprised when we learned that Marcus had a girlfriend," Alec admitted to the blonde

"He's never talked about me before?" Kate asked in a soft tone

"Well, not to us but I'm sure that he talked to his parents and sisters about you," Aimee comforted the girl

"So, how are you guys enjoying Smallville so far?" Kate questioned with a soft smile

"Everyone here is so nice," Aimee commented back

"Just be glad you weren't here when Morgan Edge was," Kate joked with a chuckle

"Yeah, we were told that it had become World War Three in town," Alec agreed with the blonde

"And my grandpa was at the center of it," Kate remarked with a smile

"Your grandpa was General Lane, right?" Aimee asked making Kate nod

Marcus had come back and they had finished eating before Marcus took Kate back home, She fell back on her bed as soon as she had gotten into her room. She was a bit bummed that Marcus hadn't told Aimee and Alec about her since everyone she knew had already heard all about him.
