this is a story about my dad's past life as a legendary outlaw Billy the Kid in the old west. and his new life in the modern world and time and his adopting me after I was left on his doorstep when I was a baby
My dad was born William Henry McCarty on November 23rd 1859. But my grandmother got remarried to a man named William Antrim she started calling my dad Henry. But after my grandmother died from tuberculosis.
My dad changed his name to William H Bonney. He did steal food and clothes and stuff to survive.
He moved to a place called Lincoln County New Mexico and he was taken in by a very kind man named John Tunstall. My dad was very happy with Mr Tunstall.
But sadly his happiness didn't last long. Because Mr Tunstall was murdered by the Santa Fe ring.
My dad made a vow to make the ones that had murdered Mr Tunstall pay for what they did.
My dad and his fellow regulators did just that. My dad and his fellow regulators became outlaws and they were hunted down.
My dad did rustle cattle and he did steal horses. Yes my dad did kill some people.
The news papers called him Billy the Kid and the name stuck. Then came the night of July 14th 1881 when he was shot down by sheriff Pat Garrett.
They buried my dad in the graveyard at Fort Sumner. But very strange and beautiful miracle happened to my dad.
He was brought to life here in the modern world and time. Then one cold Christmas Eve night I was left on his doorstep in when I was a baby.
My dad adopted me I couldn't ask for a better dad than Billy the Kid.
Well here I am in junior highschool and a world champion bull rider in the junior highschool rodeo.
