I'll always cherish this day in my memory. It all started when I caught sight of that mesmerizing girl. Her brown eyes had an inexplicable allure that captivated me instantly. There was an indescribable something about her that I couldn't tear my gaze away from. And to add to the excitement, I also became the captain of our group.

Glancing at the clock, I realized it was time to prepare for the party. I quickly got myself ready, making sure I looked presentable. Once I was all set, I headed to the living room to check if my childhood friends, Paul and Aiden, were ready as well. They were both important to me, and I wanted us to enjoy the party together.

As I entered the living room, Aiden greeted me with a playful remark, "So, Captain is all set, huh?" I nodded with a smile, feeling a sense of pride in my new role. Just then, Paul chimed in from behind Aiden, suggesting that it was time for us to leave. His words reminded us that we needed to evacuate and make our way to the party venue. Excitement filled the air as we prepared to embark on this memorable evening.

As soon as we arrived at the bar, everyone greeted me with congratulations. We made our way to the bar counter and started sipping on some ice-cold beers. Meanwhile, Paul was engrossed in a phone conversation with someone. Curiosity got the better of me, so I leaned in and asked him who he was talking to. With a smile, he replied, "Mady. She's outside, and I'm going to bring her in." With those words, he excused himself and left.

As Paul disappeared, my mind started to wander, and I couldn't help but wonder if Janvi had also made it to the bar. The thought of her presence made me feel elated. However, my excitement was short-lived when I spotted Paul returning with Mady, but Janvi was nowhere to be seen. Paul approached me and inquired, "Are you waiting for someone else who hasn't arrived yet?" I turned to Mady and asked her, "Didn't your friend come?" Before she could respond, Paul intervened and said, "Mady tried her best, but she decided she wasn't interested." Those words hit me hard, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard a familiar voice from behind. It was Aiden, and he called out, "Hey Janvi!" My eyes immediately locked onto her. She looked stunning in a crisp white top paired with an alluring black skirt. Mady chimed in, breaking the silence, "She really didn't want to come, but I managed to convince her. So, here we are." Hearing those words brought a mix of relief and happiness, knowing that Janvi had indeed made it to the bar.

Following that, we proceeded to the counter where I kindly offered Janvi a refreshing drink. However, she politely declined my offer. Moments later, Paul came forward and handed her a cola, which she gladly accepted. Witnessing this exchange, a pang of jealousy washed over me, as it seemed that she had no interest in accepting a drink from me nor did she express any desire to engage with me further.

As the music filled the air, Mady's eyes lit up with excitement. Without hesitation, she reached out and gently took Janvi's hand, leading her towards the stage. The crowd cheered as they stepped onto the dance floor, their movements synchronized and graceful.

Mesmerized by Janvi's enchanting dance moves, my heart skipped a beat. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming desire to kiss her. However, I restrained myself, knowing that it wasn't the right time or place for such an intimate gesture. Instead, I watched in awe as she continued to dance, her every movement exuding grace and elegance. It was as if time stood still, and all I could focus on was the beauty unfolding before my eyes.

The music continued to fill the room, and Mady's infectious energy caught the attention of Paul. Unable to resist the urge to join in, he approached her and asked her to dance with him. With a smile, Mady gladly accepted his invitation, and the two of them began to dance together.

Meanwhile, Janvi made her way to the counter, holding a cola in her hand. Curiosity piqued, I walked over to her and grabbed a tequila, deciding to join in the celebration. Janvi congratulated me with a warm smile, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy in her presence. As we engaged in conversation, I playfully asked her about her choice of drink, noting that she had initially refused mine but accepted Paul's. Janvi laughed and apologized, explaining that she didn't drink alcohol. Before parting ways, she inquired about the location of the washroom, to which I kindly directed her towards the right side of the venue.

"Hey, have you seen Janvi?" Mady inquired, looking around the room. "She's in the washroom," I responded. "Let's wait for her in the parking area, and you can bring her along," suggested Paul.

As the party came to an end, I guided Janvi towards the parking area, but my steps were unsteady. The effects of the alcohol had taken their toll, making it difficult for me to walk properly.

"Where's Mady?" Janvi asked, noticing her absence. I struggled to form a coherent response, but before I could answer, Janvi's phone rang. She put it on speaker, and it was Mady on the other end. "Where are you guys?" Mady's voice echoed through the phone. "Aiden and Paul had too much to drink. They're in no condition to walk or drive, so I brought them with me."

"Miles can drop you home," Mady suggested.

"I don't think so," Janvi scoffed.

Janvi hesitated for a moment, then decided against it and ended the call.

I struggled with the passenger side door, unable to get it open. "Here, let me," Janvi said, coming to my aid. She opened the door with ease and motioned for me to get in.

"No, no, I'll drive so you can sit," I insisted, moving toward the driver's side.

Janvi blocked my path, an amused smile on her face. "I don't think so. You sit."

I reluctantly sank into the passenger seat as Janvi slid behind the wheel. She turned to me expectantly. "What's your address?"

As she leaned over to buckle my seatbelt, our faces were suddenly inches apart. I froze, mesmerized by her eyes, unable to form a coherent thought. The only thing I could hear over the pounding in my ears was a voice in my head saying, "Well, looks like  I'll have to take him to my apartment".
