Cursing as she lost her footing, Diana tried to catch herself, only to hiss when her wrist bent a bit weird.

"Ow." She hissed, sitting on her knees, tenderly touching her wrist.

"Cry about it later," James said, dragging her up, and continuing to run. "We've got to go."

Diana glared at him. "I wasn't crying."

James only snorted, and continued dragging the dark haired girl along with him. After a few more slips, and curses, the duo made it to where Diana lived, and the stood out front, trying to catch her breath.

"He won't know anything unless you act suspicious." James asked.

Diana rolled her eyes, though she knew she should listen to James. Almost every time they got caught, it was because Diana let something slip that she wasn't supposed to.

They walked into the apartment, and Diana ducked her head down trying to avoid Five the best she could.

"Why are you home so early?"

Diana jumped, and looked up at Five, and gave him a smile. She held her hands behind her back, making a slight face as her wrist got jostled.

"Oh, James and I got—we were bored, and didn't know what else to do." Diana shrugged, walking further into the room.

"Did you run here?"

"Hmm?"

"You're both out of breath." Five pointed out.

Diana waved her hand, and nearly yelped when she realized that she waved the hurt one. "Yeah, like I said we were bored."

Five nodded, his eyes scanning his daughter, before turning to James, holding eye contact with the boy.

"Uh," he coughed uncomfortably. "I'm gonna head home, Diana."

He waved goodbye, before leaving. Diana huffed a bit, walking to the kitchen. She heard Five's footsteps behind her, and she tried to busy herself by looking through the cupboards.

"So, what exactly were you two doing?" Five questioned, leaning on the counter.

Diana stuck her head further into the cupboards, pretending that she was ignoring him.

"Diana." He snapped. When she still didn't answer, he said, "Eight."

Diana flinched, and slowly looked at her Dad. She gave him a smile, and held her hands behind her back. "Yes?"
