"So, as I was saying, today's exercise will be rather difficult," Professor Palladium explained to the student fairies.
The Winx alongside their fellow classmates were in a middle of a swamp, why they were there, well that's what Professor Palladium was going to explain before one of the classmates, Francine complained about a mosquito bite she got on her upper thigh.
Zephyr sighed in slight pity for the young teacher seeing him all flustered and embarrassed as the girls laughed.
Regaining his composure, he carried on the lesson. "A good fairy should be able to listen to what nature tells us," he stated. "Today's exercise is designed to put your skills to the test. Now, you've all been put into groups, so we're ready to begin. You have three hours to get out of Black-Mud Swamp and reach the clearing in the middle of Gloomy-Wood Forest, without using magic. Remember, listen carefully to the voice of nature, and follow its advice."
After explaining the task, he teleported out of the swamp.
Luckily for the Zephyr, she was in a group with all the winx, reassuring her a bit in this task. After hearing the task, she knew it was going to be a little tough as she used magic on the daily, though she did think this would be a fun challenge.
The Winx, without any hesitation, broke off from the other groups. Zephyr saw all of them getting knee deep in the mud and was about to follow before Flora stopped her.
The Wind Fairy looked at her best friend, slightly confused. "Don't you remember? These swamps have gas bubbles in there, we read about it in Lynphea," Flora reminded, making Zephyr's eyes widened as she recalled information. "We could be fried."
The two then attempted to warn the rest of the Winx, though Stella's complaining topped over their voice, making them give up.
"Let's find a way to get across without getting into the mud, then we can try warning them again," The dual haired girl suggested, making the other nod.
Flora and Zephyr then began to look around, seeing if there's anyway to get across without using their powers and having to get into the mud. The latter's eyes then set on a fallen log and hanging vines. Nudging Flora's arm softly, she pointed it out and the two went to the log, holding on to the hanging vines in order to not fall.
Before they knew it, they were safely on the other end of the swamp. The two bestfriends grinned at each other gave each other a high-five.
Sadly, their little achievement couldn't be celebrated so soon as they both found themselves smelling smoke. Their eyes widened realizing where the smell was coming from.
"Um.. guys, you need to get out of there quickly," Zephyr called out to all of them, successfully gaining their attention.
"What are you talking-" Musa started before she smelt the gas. The four Winx that were in the mud had their eyes widened, immediately scurrying out of the mud. All of them, including Flora and Zephyr for some odd reason, ran behind a log, examining the mud.
Bloom threw a twig that was nearby and popped a gas bubble, the remains shooting up in the sky, other following. They all cringed.
"A single spark and we would've been toast," Bloom said.
"How come you didn't warn us!" Stella accused towards the two girls who weren't covered in mud.
Flora and Zephyr looked at the girl with an annoyed look.
"We tried to!" Flora exclaimed.
"But your voice overtook ours to whine!" Zephyr added, making the blonde look away sheepishly.
