"I didn't think I'd see you here," Kamiko said, a lopsided smile on her face.
Ruby felt a warmth in her cheeks and brushed a curl out of her eyes.
"I was hoping to see you."
"Aw, you could've called me..."
The kitsune's mind blanked. She couldn't tell Ruby that she had been too shy to call her, right?
"I. Uh. I can't count past ten."
The other girl raised an eyebrow.
"Well, how about I call you?"
"Yes! I mean, yeah! I'd like that a lot."
She hid behind one of her tails to avoid Ruby seeing the warm red tint that crept up her face.
