"Kunikuzushi! Your stuff's here!"

"Coming!"

(Kunikuzushi pov)

"Your mother just texted me. She said she found some of your old stuff in the garage and asked if you wanted to keep it."

        "My old stuff?"

"Yes, they've been collecting dust in an old box in the corner. She'll be recieving guests tomorrow evening and she wants to clear it up."

Aunt Miko and I were eating lunch until she got a text from Ei. Come to think of it, couldn't she have just texted me? Well, at least she knows I hate her too. She looked at me, waiting for my answer with her phone in hand, and chopsticks in the other.

"She'll send them over if you want to keep them."

I didn't really want them. But I was quite sure Aunt Miko was gonna insist that I do if I said no, so I just nodded.

        "Alright."

She texted the old hag and I went to wash my bowl and utensils. I have to say, I didn't dread lunch this time since the food wasn't made by my mother. About an hour later, I saw from the attic window, one of Ei's deliverymen carrying a box. He was sweating and panting, probably from climbing up the stairs. Hah, he's probably a newbie if he's already tired.

        "Kunikuzushi! Your stuff's here!"

"Coming!" I went downstairs and took the box. It was quite heavy.

I took the box upstairs immediately. The guy who delivered the box descended the stairs, got into his car, and zoomed off. Huh, I kinda like how I can see everything through this window.

I opened the dusty box. The first thing I saw was my old easel. It was small enough to easily be carried around. Very convenient.

My old paintbrushes were in there too. Palettes, paint tubes... a bunch of rags stained with all sorts of colours...

I haven't painted in so long...

I decided to place the art supplies and arrange them around my table and shelves. It looked nice. Shoving the box under my bed, I started opening the paint tubes to see if they were still useable. Some had already dried up, mostly the acrylics. But the watercolours were ok.

My paintbrushes were surprisingly still intact. Only a few were dried out.

I had stopped painting during my time in Sumeru. I was too busy trying to look cool and fit in. I wish I spent that time honing my skills... Katsuragi and Niwa wouldn't be proud.

Here's a cool artist:

Joaquín Sorolla; a Spanish painter

Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida was a Spanish painter. Sorolla excelled in the painting of portraits, landscapes, and monumental works of social and historical themes. His most typical works are characterized by a dexterous representation of the people and landscape under the bright sunlight of Spain and sunlit water. (wikipedia)
