Saturday Morning
Jason was sneaking around the manor, on his way to Bruce's study. Luckily he was away on business right now.
"What are you doing?" Duke asked, staring at Jason pretending to be a ninja.
"Ah!" Jason yelled.
"Ah!" Duke yelled back, frightened that he was frightened.
"Is everything alright up there?" Alfred asked from downstairs.
"Yes! We're fine, thanks!" Duke replied.
The two boys looked at each other for a moment.
"Hey, Duke. Do you want to know how to make fake money seem real? I watched a video on it." Jason whispered, proud of himself.
"Um. I don't know if Bruce'll like that." he said
"Psh! He doesn't need to know!" Jason smirked
"I don't think we should." Duke said
"You don't want unlimited money?" Jason asked.
Duke stood in thought for a moment.
"I do want that Hot Wheels set..." he mumbled.
"C'mon! I'll teach you. I'm basically a pro." Jason said proudly
Duke followed Jason to the study.
"Have you done this before?" Duke asked curiously
"Nope! But it can't be that hard!" Jason smiled
"Master Jason? Master Duke? What are you two doing in here?" Alfred asked them from the open doorway
"You didn't close the door!" Jason said
"I forgot!" Duke cried
"Uh, sorry Alfred! We'll be out." Jason said nervously.
"Oh, no need. Just what are you two up to?" he asked again
"We're making fake money look real so we can buy stuff." Duke said.
He was scared of getting caught, so why not tell the truth?
"Shh! Duke!" Jason whined
"I do believe that's illegal." he said.
"Good because that's not what we're doing. Bye." Jason said, hurrying out of the room.
He rushed past Alfred and away from the crime scene.
"Come on, Master Duke. Out you go." Alfred said.
Duke slowly walked out, seemingly disappointed in himself.
"Please don't tell Bruce." he pleaded
"Of course not." Alfred smiled as Duke left.
"Thank you, Alfred." he smiled.
A/N:
Second chapter done! I don't think I've seen a whole lot of Jason and Duke hanging out (or Duke in general, y'all need to love up on him) so I decided to pair these two versions of them together!
Also, for any off-canon personalities I'll just blame the fact this is an AU 😋
