HAVAN MARTIN STOOD WITH her expression displaying her typical irritation. her and her companion grover had been leaning up against one of the greek statues before a snobby redhead, who she learnt was nancy bobofit, had started picking on percy jackson, the kid whom grover's here to protect and havan snuck out to witness.
"just let me punch her, dude." she turns to face the satyr standing next to her and pleads imploringly. he simply gives her an incredulous look. "we're not supposed to get involved remember?" he reminds her, and in response, the girl sighs and fiddles her braids.
"ok but like, who's gonna know?" in response, she decides to challenge her friend. grover turns arounds, sighs, and points towards the statue of zeus. "he's gonna know."
"and if something were to happen to percy, he would no doubt drown me." he ends, pointing now at the poseidon statue. "all right, valid points. i'll stay put then."
even though havan wasn't used to following orders of any kind, when it came to this task she knew better than to screw things up for grover, or even anyone who was doing the same. when she had found out that she wasn't the only forbidden child alive, she vowed she needed to witness it for herself. the girl was merely there to observe what would happen; she had only arrived at yancy as a "student" last night, having followed grover back there.
