Author's POV

The strobe lights pulsed like fireflies trapped in a disco ball, casting fleeting glimpses on the throngs writhing on the dance floor. Siddharth, usually immune to the club's siren call, felt a jolt course through him as his eyes caught a flash of shiny black. It wasn't just the dress, a cascade of shiny black silk that hugged her curves like a whispered promise. It was the book in her hand, a worn paperback with "The Psychology of Attraction" scrawled on the cover in elegant script.

He sauntered over, the bass vibrating through his chest. "Intriguing choice of reading material for a dance floor, Siddharth by the way and You?" he drawled, his voice a low hum against the din.

She looked up, her eyes the same shade as her dress, flecked with gold dust that shimmered under the strobe. A smile, sharp as a stiletto, played on her lips. "Raina, Figured I might learn a trick or two," she purred, her voice husky with a hint of amusement.

Siddharth chuckled, the sound a rumble in his throat. "Well, I'm no Freud, but I'm pretty well-versed in the art of attraction myself." He gestured to the book. "Care to share your insights on the subject?"

And so, amidst the sweat-slick bodies and the pulsing beat, they embarked on a verbal tango, dissecting the psychology of desire with a playful intensity that sent shivers down Siddharth's spine. They traded barbs about pheromones and primal urges, their laughter echoing like champagne bubbles in the air thick with anticipation.

As They're talking about the book, he found out that they both had a lot of things common, like our major, favourite movie, and the love for Dance so he started to found her more interesting too. Then, the first notes of "Senorita" snaked through the speakers, Shawn Mendes' voice a silky invitation. Raina's eyes, hazel eyes, met his. A silent challenge, a dare.

Siddharth held out his hand. "May I have this dance, Dr. Freud?"

She placed her palm in his, the touch sending a jolt of electricity through him. They melted onto the dance floor, their bodies moving in perfect sync, fueled by the unspoken hunger in the air.

Siddharth's hand traced the curve of her spine, sending shivers cascading down her skin. Raina pressed closer, her breath warm against his ear, her whisper a promise, "Let's rewrite the textbook, shall we?"

She didn't know why she flirted with him...maybe because she was interested for the first time.

"We shall, doctor", Siddharth whispered in a husky tone with a smirk on his face.
The dance became a slow burn, a smoldering tango of unspoken desire. His lips brushed against her ear, sending a shiver through her. Her fingers traced the line of his jaw, a delicate map of unspoken promises. When the music finally faded, they were breathless, their bodies pressed together, a tapestry woven from heat and longing.

He held her hands in his and led her to the rooftop, the cool night air a shock against their flushed skin. The moon, a pearl in the velvet sky, bathed them in its silvery glow. Siddharth put his hand on Raina's back and pulled her close enough to hear his heartbeat and he cupped her face, his thumb tracing the soft curve of her cheekbone,

"Raina," he breathed, his voice thick with something raw and primal.

And then, their lips met. It was a kiss born from the heat of the dance floor, the electricity of their banter, the unspoken promises of their eyes. It was a kiss that tasted of moonlight and desire, a searing brand that marked them both.
