Amane Misa is now in the same plight as I had just experienced myself - in a interrogation cell, chained to a chair and blindfolded. I looked at the girl with compassion, aware of the suffering she is going through.

"Kill me," Misa said suddenly, "please kill me."

"And that's the way she's been for several minutes now," Aizawa said.

"I see," Ryuzaki sat back in his chair, staring thoughtfully into the camera.

"I know you can kill me easily!" Shouted Misa.

"Who's she talking to?" Ryuzaki asked.

I realized he is asking me.

"I think she's referring to you," I said in response.

Urrius, per my orders, kept his mouth shut. I didn't want Ryuzaki to figure it out too soon. If Light comes here, and he is bound to do so, he'd know immediately where the detective got his information, and he'd kill me as soon as he got a chance.

And Ryuzaki can figure out exactly who Misa is talking to by himself. She's the other Kira, so it's not hard to guess that the god of death is with her right now.

God of death! Rem!

Oh, dear God!

I clutched my fingers on the chair upholstery, which was standing next to me.

She has the Death Note!

She can write the names of all those involved in the investigation at any moment, eager to protect the person she's attracted to! At any moment!

"Haruka, what's wrong? You look worried," Ryuzaki said, eyeing me.

"Don't worry, she won't do it. She's too despondent," Urrius said behind me. "Besides, there's a much easier way to put a girl out of her misery."

"Haruka?" Ryuzaki squinted his eyes, trying to avoid looking at Urrius.

"I... I just realized something," I said uncertainly. "It seems that Amane Misa is begging Kira to kill her because she doesn't want to betray him."

"Kill me while I'm still young and beautiful," Misa said in this moment, "I'll die happy!"

I suppressed the urge to smack my forehead.

"Or she's asking for it from someone else beside Kira..." Ryuzaki said thoughtfully.

"Ryuzaki, if Watanabe is Kira, we have to keep an eye on her," Yagami Sr. said bluntly.

"Yes, that's right," the detective nodded thoughtfully, "I will personally see to Haruka's actions. But first, we need to get Amane to expose the first Kira."

"If you don't kill me, I'll bite my tongue off!" Misa screamed.

"Watari, don't let her do it!" Ryuzaki shouted.

His assistant rushed into the room and stuffed a rag in the girl's mouth before she could do anything.

Misa struggled for a while and then suddenly went limp in the chair, seemingly unconscious from all the pain and stress.

"Could it be that Kira is already controlling her?" Ryuzaki wondered, placing a finger in his mouth.

I stared at him with my blood icing in veins. His face was completely indifferent, but his eyes glowed with curiosity - ravenous and genuine curiosity. And there was nothing else.

He was watching me like that, too, wasn't he? As I sat there, almost frantic out of fear, in pain, did Ryuzaki sitting and staring into the camera with the same expression? Ready to do anything to force the confession from me? He, who was no stranger to any kind of measure and who never gave a damn about other people's sufferings?
