"WHAT IF ITS ME?"
matthew looks at his frantic brother up and down, "it won't be you, your name has to be in there like, five times? maybe?"
"i know, i know. i just— i do this every year. i just get this horrible feeling in my stomach, that they're gonna pull out my name, and i'm gonna be sent into that arena, and i'm gonna—" nick begins to ramble.
"nick." matt cuts him off.
"i'm sorry." nick sighs.
matt places a hand on his brothers back, "don't be sorry, it's okay to be anxious." matt soothes, and gives nick a soft smile.
nick walks toward the table, "nicolas hawkwood." he states his name. the man in front of him grabs his wrist, pricking his finger, and stamping the blood on a piece of paper in front of him, and scans it to confirm his identity.
