"She was already dead when we got here."

Athena stood at the edge of a pool, responding to the same call as the 118. Apparently, the caller had been on the phone with Dispatch when she was shot. Her body now floated face down in the clear water.

"Don't think you're gonna be needing those med kits." Bobby informed Hen and Chim.

"Crime Scene unit's on the way. We just need to get a medical confirmation that she's dead."

"On it!" Chim called, walking in front of Buck, Eddie, and I. He looked toward Buck, "Excuse me."

"Uh, did you just say 'excuse me'?" Buck laughed, looking for a joke from Chim, who brought none. Whispering, he added, "Chimney's being weird."

"How can you tell?" Eddie asked.

"How can you not?" I responded, "I haven't heard a joke about Buck from him in hours, and trust me, there have been plenty of opportunities."

Buck, being Buck, immediately got distracted, "Ooh, ooh, hey, whoever killed her kicked that gate in good. Saw a clean footprint on it."

"Well that foot would be mine," Athena informed us, arms crossed, "The gate was latched shut from the inside. Front door was locked, too."

"If everything was locked when you got here... how'd the murderer get in or out?"

"It's a locked room mystery." Buck dramatically stated.

"More like a locked yard mystery, what do you think? Home invasion gone bad? Murder for hire?"

"I don't think an open air backyard really counts as a locked room mystery," I reasoned, "I mean, sure the walls are high, but if someone tried hard enough, they could get over them. Or under."

I shook my head as Buck continued on, "Was she married? Cause, you know... the husband is usually the culprit."

"We making a true crime podcast?" Athena scoffed.

"That is a disaster in the making." I laughed.

"All right, I'm calling it-- definitely some signs of struggle," Hen finalized, leaned over the side of the pool, "Looks like a fresh manicure, too."

"Guessing that the broken nail would have bugged her less than the bullet hole." Chim finished.

"You got an ID for the paperwork?" Hen asked.
