Being tortured was not part of Elisabeth's plan. Falling in love with a genocidal warlord was neither. But there was no going back from the predicament she found herself in. The dried tears stained her cheeks while the pain numbed everything in her.
Chained, she could only look down to see her own blood in a pool under her feet. She could swear that she saw herself in the mirror of the blood.
At first the fear creeped into her heart, she didn't want to die. But as the time went on she accepted her unfortunate fate. She grieved the life she was never going to live. She grieved that she was never going to skate ever again, or never going to see Daniel and her parents.
"What did I do to deserve this?" she thought to herself as her hair stuck to her face because of the sweat.
She heard some light steps and braced herself for the next round of her torture to madness and then death.
"Elisabeth" a gentle female voice called her name out. "Can you hear me Elisabeth?" she asked and she reluctantly lifted her head up to see who called her. Her eyes widened when she realised it was a female bot with some weird aura that made Elisabeth aware that she was no ordinary cybertronian. "Good" she sighed relieved. "I'm on time then."
"Who... the fuck are you?" Elisabeth asked, fearing that because of the blood loss she started to see things she shouldn't.
"I'm Solus Elisabeth. The one from the story you were told. I came to free you."
"In which sense? Are you going to take my soul to hell or..."
"No. You will live, I'm going to make sure of that. I messed up, so I will solve everything" she admitted, feeling guilty.
"I don't think you can fix this mess anymore" Elisabeth laughed at the naive and ridiculous plan of Solus.
"I have to. You know, I've never meant to hurt you if I knew I would have never advised Primus to do that. I would never have pulled you into that Elisabeth, but... but Trion said it's going to have a happy ending. Unlike mine and Megatronus's."
"So this all happened because you wanted to change the past but you had to realise that you can't?"
The feeling of being just a mere pawn in the plans of the gods hit her big time. The feeling of having no control over her life left a bitter taste in her mouth. Anger bubbled inside of her. She wanted to scream, yell and kick around, but she couldn't.
"So this is how Megatron must have felt..." she thought as his face flashed before her eyes. Oh, how she missed him now.
"I can!" Solus exclaimed angrily, tightening her fists.
"Even in your story all you could do is to die. What can you do in mine?" Elisabeth spat back.
"Everything" she simply replied. "I do have a plan that can fix this. I only need you to help me with it."
"How?"
"I need you to become my avatar as I do not possess a physical body anymore."
"So we're taking the ghost route. Good for me I guess."
Solus nodded, understanding the scepticism and sarcasm in Elisabeth's eyes. She had every right to that feeling, as it's not usual for a human to be asked as an avatar to some demigod being. "I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's the only way to set things right. I need a connection to the physical world, and you are the only one I can trust. I assure you, it won't be a permanent arrangement. Once we fix this, you'll be free."
Elisabeth sighed. "Let's do this. I have nothing to lose anyway."
The battle was on for long and Megatron was getting more and more tired as the time passed on. The dead predacons were coming, without seeing any stopping on the horizon. He managed to take down a few, but without his former body and access to any other weapon than the ion blaster he possessed, it seemed to be a hard task.
