Couple of days later
Amelia's POV:

Mom and I ate sweet potato fries and pasta after we cooked it together .
We had a really good conversation but
I have to say that mom is acting very strange. She also doesn't look well at all..like she has a fever or something.
She was sitting on the couch now , her face pale and tired. She looked up and smiled weakly at me, but there was a hint of discomfort in her eyes.
I tried to continue the conversation hoping it would help her.

"So mom I have my first guitar lesson with Alex tomorrow...I'm a little excited but nervous"
She sighed, her hand instinctively reaching to her stomach and I look at her with my most suspicious look ever.

"Why are you stressed sweetie ? I'm sure you will succeed! You're gonna be so good!"

"It's just that the last time I touched the guitar it didn't end well and.-"
I tried to continue the sentence but mom took another bite of the fries and she looked pale. I could sense something was off. Her face sudden change in demeanour and it was hard to ignore.
"Are you feeling okay, Mom? You don't look so good," I asked worried.
Her smile faltered, and she placed a hand over her mouth, as if she trying to hold something back.

"I'm sorry, Ames... Will you excuse me?" she mumbled, her voice strained. Before I could respond, mom hurriedly got up and rushed towards the bathroom.  The sound of retching echoed through the house, leaving me feeling both confused and worried.
I had never seen mom act this way before. I wondered if it was something serious, but dad had assured me earlier that it was just a virus mom was dealing with.
Just then, Dad walked into the house, his training bag slung over his shoulder. He noticed my concerned expression and immediately asked.

"Hey Ames, where's Mom?"

I gestured towards the bathroom.

"She's throwing up... again! That's the fourth time today," I replied, with voice tinged with worry. Dad's face contorted with concern.

"Oh my god... I'm gonna look after her, okay?"
I nodded, my heart heavy with the realization that mom's "virus" was more serious than I thought .

"Yes, it just sucks that her virus is so bad... I mean, I can't even have a proper conversation with her,"
I told him, my voice laced with sadness. He completely ignored me and made his way towards the bathroom. I was trying to hold back tears. It was hard seeing my mom like this, especially when I didn't know what was causing her illness. I wished there was something I could do to help her, to make her feel better.
For the past couple of weeks, mom hadn't been feeling well. She was either constantly throwing up or feeling dizzy, making it difficult for her to spend quality time with me. I had assumed it was just the virus, but now I couldn't help but wonder if there was something more going on. I miss my mom I wanna talk with her, I wanna hug her.
It's not happening anymore.

Taylor's POV

I heard loud footsteps. I had the fear that maybe it was Amelia and she would have to see me in the most humiliating moment of my life, she doesn't want to see either her idol or her mother puking her guts out. But then I realized it was stronger than Amelia and I realized it must be Travis and he came home and I felt grateful for that.
It was him and I felt a sense of relief, I reached back my hand and expected him to catch it. He came forward to me and picked up my hair that was filled with vomit, patted my back gently and held my hand tightly. I squeezed his hand to get the last of my fluids out and tears started to form in my eyes. My throat is burning and I feel so tired. Travis turned the water off and I leaned against the wall.
