Unexpected {DISCONTINUED}

Colby's Birthday

"Sam," I say as I wake him up.

"What?" he asks groggily.

"It's Colby's birthday today! We have to get him something! We have to throw him a surprise party!" I respond. He just groans but does indeed get up.

"What are your plans?" he asks.

"I was hoping you could distract him with an exploring video, since you guys said you wanted to get into that again, and I text you when we're ready and you can start wrapping it up to surprise him!" I respond.

"We have said that, haven't we?" he acknowledges.

"Yes. Will you?" I ask.

"I can try. These kinds of things aren't usually spontaneous anymore after being arrested, you know."

"I know. There's this abandoned place nearby. I've already checked if it's legal to explore it and it is. I'll put it in your maps. I've explored it myself, actually. It's pretty cool and kind of secluded, so it should be easy to get into." I put the location into his maps on his phone. He nods and agrees to try it. We go downstairs and get some breakfast ready. Colby comes down and starts eating.

"Hey, Colby?" Sam starts. God, I hope this works.

"Hmm?" Colby asks.

"Storme recommended a place for us to explore. We haven't explored it personally, it's nearby, and legal. She's explored it before, too. Are you interested?" Sam asks.

"Sure," Colby responds.

"Can I come, too?" Brandon asks. "I've always wanted to explore an abandoned place." Sam and Colby exchange a glance and are fine with it. This makes it even less likely that they'll be done sooner than expected. And I haven't even told Brandon my plan!

"We don't have any XPLR stickers," Colby acknowledges.

"I still have a few from when you did this more frequently," I say, running upstairs and grabbing a few. I also grab one of my stickers I just created for my channel and run back downstairs. I give the stickers to Sam, trusting him the most with them since he's the most organized.

"Put one there for me, too. That way people can find them both," I say. He nods and they get ready. They leave and I turn to the girls, since all the boys are out doing something or other.

"Colby's birthday is today and I want to throw a surprise party for him. What do you guys say?" I ask.

"Hell yeah!" Tara exclaims. 

"Of course!" Kat exclaims.

"Yes!" Dev exclaims. 

"Alright! We have to go shopping to get presents and supplies. Let's go!" I say. We all pile into Colby's car, since it's the most convenient at the time and go to the mall. We go to Hot Topic for the presents and get the supplies at Target. We head back to the house to get everything set up, putting everyone's presents out for Colby and putting the decorations up. The boys, except Colby, Sam, and Brandon, arrive to help and even Johnnie shows up. My guess is Jake dragged him here so he could at least have some social interaction this week.

"Is everything ready?" Johnnie asks, clearly wanting to get it done so he can leave.

"One more thing. I'll be right back down," I reply and run upstairs. I go into my closet and pull out a poster. It's a Kingdom Hearts poster I found while looking for some new crop tops for me and had to get it for Colby. I put it into his room, wanting it to be the last one, and put one of the many sticky notes from the walls onto it saying, "Happy Birthday, Colby! -Storme and Sam" Sam asked me to have it from both of us so that he had something for Colby that he wouldn't have to sneak off to get. Brandon got a few things for Colby a couple days ago. I put the poster on Colby's desk on top of his computer and run back downstairs. I grab my phone and text Sam.
