Mary walked back into her groups compartment, quietly thinking of her encounter.
Lily whipped her head in Mary's direction upon hearing her open the carriage door.
"Was there a line for the toilets?" she asked with a sour face. "I swear, it's always filled with third years trying to glamour their zits."
Mary felt her face growing warm as she realized she'd never even made it the loo.
"Er- yes," She lied. "They're trying a terrible perfuming charm in their as well. You might want to wait a bit until they clear out."
Mary sat in a silence for the train ride to school. The boys traded chocolate frog cards. Lily and Marlene were discussing upcoming lessons, Lily had read all the summer reading twice with annotations.
Mary tried to listen but found her mind drifting back to the her peculiar interaction with the blue eyed boy.
Eventually, the train emerged through the trees revealing Hogwarts and the Great Lake in all their splendor.
