"When are you all going back?" I asked while flying a plane with dal and rice into Nikki's awaiting mouth.

Chucks took a moment to answer. "We are looking for a house here."

My head whipped to the side. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, don't blame him. Do you expect me to go back in this condition?" Simmi walked in, rubbing her bump.

" So, you will leave after the baby?" Another aeroplane.

"Do you want us to leave so soon?" Nikki asked with her mouth full and her puppy dog eyes on.

I looked over at Chucks. "You know you can't live here. Nikki has her school, you have your job and Simmi's doctor is there too."

"All of this can be brought here too." Chucks said, ruffling my hair. He sighed. "I'm not leaving you here, that's final."

I looked up at him. Guilt filled his eyes. "Fine" I sighed. "But once everything settles and you feel I'm safe here, you're leaving." He nodded, knowing there's no negotiating this.

I got up with the now empty plate. "You don't have to buy a house here. I already have one. You guys can stay there." He was about to argue but stopped with the look I was giving him. "And you missy better get ready fast if you want to go out" I said before walking out.

As I was going upstairs to change, Seby joined me on the stairs, ruffling my hair in the process. " Don't" I groaned. "Chucks is here." I said excitedly.

"I know. I'll meet him once this work is done" he said and raised the file in his hand.

Just as he was about to say something a man in his mid thirties started descending the stairs. He had short black hair, thick eyebrows and small rectangular glasses perched atop his nose, hiding his brown eyes. His shirt was tucked in and along with his polished shoes, he looked pretty decent. As he passed us he gave us a warm smile, meeting my eyes and nodding at Seby.

" Who is he?" I asked, once he was out of earshot.

"The kids' tutor."

"I don't like him" I said.

"Why?"

" It's just a bad feeling" I shrugged.

He sighed. " We have done a thorough background check on him. He is a good guy and well experienced in his field."

" The feelings still there" I deadpanned.

He shook his head. "Somethings never change."

"And my gut never goes wrong."

I walked into the room to find my dearest husband, sitting at the edge of the bed, staring holes into the floor. Ignoring him, I walked into the closet and pulled out the jeans and shirt that I'd worn when I came here. Chucks did get a few of my things but it's with him in their room.

When I walked out Ritvik was still in the same position. I picked up the kajol on the dressing table and was about to apply when he spoke, " So after all you don't hate kids huh?"

I stiffened for a moment. " What I like and don't like is none of your business."

I continued applying the kajol, when I was roughly turned around. " You would have taken my eye out" I shouted.

" It is my business if it's my kids we are talking about." His eyes bored into mine and the fire in them almost consumed me but I stared right back.

" Leave me" I bit out.

" Is it because of the way they are?" He continued. " Is it because they are not as happy as Nikki? Is it because they are so quiet?" He shook me with the hand on my arm by the end of his sentence.
