Chapter 24: Jealous

Denise's POV
M already left for the board meeting while the three of us Nini and Max are going gun shooting nearby. My girlfriend be really living in a pent house and made sure that her pantry has all the snacks the three of us love. Sabi nga ni Nini, kung pwede lang mag camp nalang sa condo ni M, gagawin namin eh. Lol. But then again we need to go out and sulitin ang bakasyon namin. 
"What time is she going home, Den?" Max asked. 

"She said before dinner time so that's 5? 6?"

"She's bringing us out for dinner? Sorry di ako nakikinig kanina." 

Nini intentionally bumped Max. "Eh syempre may hangover ka! Naku Max ha. What if magpahinga ka nalang dito?"

"Okay nako noh!" 

Inawat ko na silang dalawa. "To answer your question Max, yes, ilalabas daw tayo ni M." 

"Great! Kasi I'm looking for some good restaurants online and may nakita ako. Perhaps I can suggest that she brings us there?" 

"Oo naman. Malakas ka dun eh."

Nini frowned. "Ang sabihin mo Den, takot lang tayo dito kay Max." 

Sinundot ni Max ang ilong ni Nini. "Ako na naman nakita mo!" 

"Eh panu namang hindi? Ayan nag overdress ka na naman. Gunshooting pupuntahan natin hindi fashion show!"

Max faced me, "Did I overdress?" 

"Slight," I honestly replied. 

Max went back to M's walk-in closet and changed. 

"Den, look oh! Diba ito yung girl sa new year's countdown? Trending sya. She's famous pala talaga ha?" Nini showed me what's on X. "Wait, may isa pang hashtag that is trending with her name."

Hindi pa man naki-click ni Nini yung hashtag, kinabahan na ako. "I guess we need to go. Tawagin mo na si Max." 


"Lalabas na yun. Tsaka dyan lang naman tayo sa tapat pupunta. Stalk muna natin tong biggest star ng company nila Deedee." 

"Okay." I surrender. 


"Why is she being cozy with Deedee here?"

"Huh?"

"Look oh." Inabot sa akin ni Nini ang phone nya and saw bunch of tweets and photos like this:

I sharply inhaled and chose to calm down. Am I jealous? Maybe. Pero sanay naman ako na ganyan sya since college days. It's just that... I thought hindi sila close. I already met Kylie and you know it really didn't go well.
