Amusement danced in the eyes of those who had mistaken you for a boy, creating an unexpected narrative in the unfolding tableau. Positioned away from the group of boys in the midst of their wardrobe metamorphosis, you diverted your attention to a corner, where the wall seemed to stretch into an eternity of contemplation.
Earlier, you took a quick trip to the restroom, leaving your teammates behind. As you were about to return, a gentleman who identified himself as a staff member approached you. He kindly guided you to a changing room, explaining that all players were required to change there.
The room, a mere 5-minute walk away, became your temporary sanctuary. Alone, you awaited the promised uniform, absentmindedly swinging your leg as a wave of drowsiness enveloped you.
The creaking door shattered the solitude, unveiling a scene of curious gazes converging upon you.
