Before

Following the giant footprints in the grass, Owen continued to drive. He was forced to drive through a dozen dead dinosaur bodies, for which we designated as the I-Rex killing as sport, not as a meal.

The Indominus footsteps led through the valley, into a Restricted Area with wide open gates.

"How could they?" Claire muttered, "They know the rules."

"Well, they are boys," I said.

"Anyone with a little bravery would go through there," Owen agreed.

I stared into the gates, my grip on my gun tightening. Facing a dinosaur with a known record of slaughter was rightfully unnerving.

"Do we have that bravery?" Claire wondered.

Owen and I shared a glance.

"I'll do it if you're by my side," Owen said.

I nodded, "Yeah, I'm not about to get outdone by a couple of twelve year olds."

Owen pressed on the gas pedal. Past those gates, we ventured into the unknown, and quite possibly, our deaths.
