The Siren's Cry and Maybe My Last.

i sailed through the vast ocean,
but only till i heard you.
'what danger was i getting myself into?'
was a question for later
cause i had you to woo.

the song was like a spell on me,
and suddenly my soul was all yours,
what else do i offer you,
for this lullaby to last forevermore?

your black locks swayed
in the stormy winds,
and your dreamy eyes
shined so bright.

lust, love and a lot hypnotised
was all i felt when you pulled
me closer to you that night.

i remember so clearly
when your lips caressed mine,
the touch was a burning sensation,
but for you anything was fine.

your nails dug into my skin,
when i savoured your lips one last time,
you had robbed me of my heart,
but everything still felt so sublime.

you could've simply asked me, my darling,
i would've given my all to you,
we could've sung along the lines of your songs and lived till forever holds.

but nothing's to do of this tragedy,
for i lay lifeless in the depths of the sea,
the cry of the siren was a trap i didn't see.
