Y/n sat on the bed reading. Mattheo walked in. "What do you want to do today? I'm bored!" He whinged. Y/n looked up and put down the book.

"We could go for a walk?" She suggested. Mattheo nodded. "Okay, let's go!" He said and picked up Y/n, throwing her over his shoulder. "Matt!" She laughed.

He put her down, and they walked to the forest. "Last one to the oak is single for life!" Mattheo yelled. Y/n shoved him as she sprinted towards the oak. Mattheo shoved her against the tree. "I win." She said breathlessly. He rolled his eyes.

Y/n pushed him off her and started to climb the small tree next to the oak. She climbed to the top and sat on the branch. She looked down at Mattheo and grinned. He climbed up quickly and sat next to her. "Both thirteen now." Y/n said, looking at him. Mattheo nodded.

"Third year." He said. Mattheo knew he had fallen hard for Y/n. He held onto her waist as she swung her legs. "Dracos dating Pansy." She said as she watched a bird fly into its nest. "Really?" Mattheo asked. Y/n nodded. "She sent me a letter. She wouldn't stop talking about him." Y/n said laughing. Mattheo watched her he already knew Draco and Pansy were a thing he just loved it when Y/n spoke. He watched her eyes sparkle in the sunlight. Her hair glowed golden as the rays hit her.

"Matt!" She said, snapping him out of his trance. "Why were you staring at me like that! You scared me." She said. Mattheo wanted to kiss her so badly. He pushed away the thought and smiled. She smiled back. "Matt, move, we need to get down!" She said. Mattheo climbed down, and she jumped down, landing beside him.

She jumped onto his back, and he gave her a piggy back all the way back to her house. She jumped down. "Thank you, Matt." She said and kissed him on the cheek before walking into her house.

Mattheo stood there in shock, replaying what had just happened. He touched his cheek and smiled.

"Y/n!" Mattheo shouted, running towards the angry girl. The girl turned around. She had a cut on her forehead. "What happened!?" He asked. The girl shook her head. "Mattheo, it went all wrong!" She said. Even when she was angry, Y/n was still gentle towards Mattheo.

"What went wrong, love?" He asked. Y/n smiled. "You're so sweet." She said. Mattheo looked at her cut. "Come with me. I need to wipe that." He said, holding out his hand. Y/n took it. "Care to tell me what happened?" He asked as his precious Y/n walked beside him. "I introduced my mum to an old teacher in primary. I thought he could help her with a book she was struggling with." She explained. Mattheo listend to her. "I thought he left. I woke up, and he walked out of my mums room." Y/n said angrily.

"Mum said it was nothing. This was a week ago. He has spent every single night here since!" She ranted. "How did you get that cut. Was it him!" He said, growing tense. Y/n shook her head. "Sure." He said, stopping her. "Yes, Matt. I promise it wasn't him." She said quietly. "Then who was it?" He asked. Y/n looked up at him.

"Matt, it's not fair!" Y/n said. "I thought she loved me.". "It was your mum. Wasn't it." He said. Y/n slowly nodded. "I asked her about him. She got angry and threw a plate, meaning to aim it at the wall next to me. It missed." The shaken girl replied. Mattheo pulled her into a hug. He felt his shirt getting wet. "Oh, you don't deserve this, Y/n." He sighed. "I want you." She mumbled.

"Me?" He responded. The girl nodded. She looked up at him. "You make me feel so safe. If anything happens, promise me you will always be there?" Y/n said. "I promise." He said.
