It was almost time for a Halloween party at a guy called Frankie's house and I was checking my make-up and outfit in the mirror, "Mum does this dress make me look fat?" I ask as I walk into the living room "No darling, you look amazing" she tells me as I get my shoes on "Thanks I'll be back later, love you."
I quickly pulled out my phone and dialled Tara's number as I settled into the back seat of the taxi. "Hey, Tara, it's me. I'm on my way to the party. Where exactly is it again?" I listened as Tara gave me the address, and I told her I'd be there in no time. With a quick "Thanks, I'll be there soon" I hang up and put my phone back in my bag.
I get out of the taxi and start walking in "Ahh! Y/n finally!" I heard Mindy shout as Anika and Chad followed her upon hearing my name "Hi Mindy, Anika, love your outfits and Chad great cowboy outfit!" "Thank you, but your Morticia one is so much better where did you get those shoes from?" Anika asks scanning my outfit "Oh I found them online for only four pounds" I tell her as she looks at me in shock "Four, I might buy some myself" "You should they're surprisingly very comfortable."
I walk around the party whilst pushing past some disgusting sweaty couples "Geez give a girl some space," I just want to get a drink, I look in the kitchen to find only alcohol "Where are all the goddamn sodas?" I ask myself looking in the fridge "They're in the basement fridge!" I heard someone shout over the music, nope that's how you die in a horror film I'll just stick to Gin and tonics.
I grab a red solo cup fill it with gin and start making my way towards the dance floor and one of the lads from my old film study classes
"Hey Jake" "Y/n it feels like I haven't seen you in decades where have you been girl?" He asks flinging his arms around me "You know here and there, anyways hows the boyfriend" I ask looking around for him "Great he's just in the kitchen getting a drink, didn't you see him in there?" he asks confused
"Oh yeah I probably did my memory is starting to get a bit fuzzy you know how low my alcohol tolerance is," I say shaking my head "Yeah I do, this is why I tell you to never drink too much at parties," he tells me shaking his head " I know but I can't help it that alcohol is delicious," I tell him taking a sip of my drink "I'll give you that one," he says before taking a swig of his beer
Ethan's pov
"So has anyone caught your eye yet?"
"Ethan?"
"Ethan?!"
I watch her as she dances with some of her friends, the black fabric of her dress hugging her curves so perfectly it's making me want to rip it right off her "Ethan! Jesus, I've been shouting for ages" Chad shouts, moving closer to me "Sorry got a bit distracted" I tell him tearing my eyes away from y/n "Who are you looking at?" He says following my previous gaze "You like Jake?" He asks confused "No the girl next to him!" I exclaim angrily "Oh! Y/n?!" "Chad!" I exclaim as I see her start to walk towards us

"Hey Chad, Ethan what's up?" I ask as Ethan starts flustering up "Nothing much but what do you think of Ethan here, he's a bit of a snack isn't he?" Chad asks before Ethan hits his shoulder "Of course, but I wouldn't say a snack I'd say more like a four-course meal" I tell him before winking at Ethan and walking to the kitchen for another drink.
"Ask her out" "No" "Do it" "No" I heard them argue before entering the kitchen
"Y/n is that you girl?" A familiar voice says as I pour some more gin into another cup "Liam is that you?" I ask turning around "Yeah babes obviously who else would look this gorgeous." He says "Yeah, why did I even bother asking? You look stunning!" I tell him as he gives me a little twirl "Thanks babes, how is Ethan, asked him out yet?" He says before taking a sip from his drink "Not yet but I've been flirting"
