"Miggyyy" his mom says as he wakes him up
"Yes mamá?" Migel groans awake
"Dave through away this smelly bag of fish I think and the trash needs taken out" his mom whines
Miguel groans and gets up to put on his shoes.
"Yes mamà" he sighs
Miguel takes out the trash, on his way back to his apartment he sees a crabby man he had seen a dozen times before and decides to talk to him.
Jasmine wakes up to her mother getting up loudly and throwing up.
She groans and gets up to help her mother.
"Mom? Are you okay?" Jasmine asks knocking on the bathroom door
"Yes sweetheart- I'm fine yes" she says through the bathroom door.
Jasmine sighs and walks outside to get some fresh air to see miguel talking to some random guy.
The guy brushes miguel off and takes off to who know where.
"Hey, what's up with that guy?" Jasmine asks miguel who had came up to her looking disappointed
"Eh I don't know, just was asking some question about the water pressure. Wanted to be neighborly is guess" he huffed
"Oh, well I don't think he wants to be neighborly" she smiled at him
"Soo we have school soon.. that's gonna be cool?" He asks
"Oh yeah for sure" she jokes
"Miggy! Please help me out with your grandmother! I think she is sick" a woman yelled
"Oh sorry, that's my mother, bye" he smiles and rushes towards his apartment.
She smiles and walks back into her apartment to find her mother groaning on the floor.
Right than and there her smile fades.
A few hours later there is a knock on the door and Jasmine rushes to awnser it.
"Hey, my grandma is sick and needs some pepto bismol. I was wondering if you wanted to walk to the store with me?" He asks
"Umm" she hesitate looking around her apartment for any sign of her mother.
"Sure yeah alright" she smiles and grabs her jacket
They walk a little bit to the small store as it gets dark, talking about school and such.
Miguel walks in asking the cashier where the pepto bismol was in Spanish as you notice the man from this morning was there whining to the cashier.
You line up next to him and the guy says somthing to miguel and Spanish and they laugh.
"What did he say?" You wisper to miguel
The blonde man asks the same question.
"You don't want to know" miguel tells the older blonde man
"I know he said somthinh bad" he agured
"He said you had a small.." miguel started gesturing toward the blondes pants
"Oh- you said I had a small Wang? You, tell him he has a small wang" he turns from cashier to miguel
"I speak English" the cashier says annoyed
The older man throws his money and grabs the pizza and than leaves.
The cashier and miguel continue to talk in Spanish, making jasmine feel left out of the conversation.
Soon a group of teenage boys walk in and start to eye her and catcall her as they grab a box of beer and hiding it
"Who are they?" The cashier asks
"Oh just a couple of teenagers that I've seen around" miguel mutters
"You boys can put that away, I've just been told you're all teenagers" the cashier called out to them
Miguel looked at jasmine eye widen than at them, who looked furious.
"Shit miguel come on" she grabs his hand and tries to get out of the store as fast as possible.
The boys catch up and start pushing miguel around.
"Yo what you doing blowing our cover! He though we were college boys" the clear leader of the group barked
"Guys I'm sorry! I didn't know you were trying to buy beer!"
They countuine to mock him and push him him to the ground
"Look what we have here, pepto bismol"
Miguel looks at her scared
"Guys stop, he didn't mean it!" She explaims
"Shit man, somone has diarrhea!" The leader laughs
"Hey, We should call him 'Rhea" the fatter boy joined in
The leader starts to open the bottle.
"Dude, please give it back! It's for my grandma" miguel pleads
"Oh shit it's for your grandma? Well here dude, have it" the lader says pouring the pink Medicine all over him
Jasmine knocks the bottle out of his hand
"Knock it off! Leave him alone!" She says
"Awe look.. his girlfriend is sticking up for him. You could do so much better than that sweetheart" the leader says attempting to touch her.
"Don't touch her asshole" miguel says
"What you say 'Rhea?"
"Uh i didnt say anything?" Miguel mutters slowly backing away before getting punched in the stomach
"Miguel!" Jasmine says eye widend
Miguel slowly gets up trying to run towards Jasmine so they can get out of here before getting pushed into a red car. She rush towards miguel before the blonde bum from the store steps up and tells them to knock it off.
They start aguring back and forth before the teenager and older man start to fight. One by one the older man takes them out with ease before the cops show up.
Miguel and Jasmine try to agure telling the cops he didn't do anything but it was no use and the man was taken into custody.
All they could do is go back in for some more pepto bismol for miguel grandma and walk back home.
For the most part it was silent till the end of the walk in which miguel went on and on about wanting to fight like that man.
Jasmine silently agreed wishing she could've helped miguel when he was getting hurt. Eventually they arrived back and said goodbye to each other before heading to bed.
