oh crap...

Rainbow Dash was suddenly very grateful for Elina's stupid puffball. Why? Because while she had been freaking out over the fact that she now had to actually face everyone and own up to the fact that she only released the villain from exile, Bibble and Dizzle found the perfect opportunity to show that a new development had occurred in his tooth story.

"Oh, you lost your tooth," she realized, noticing the new gap in his mouth.

Bibble and Dizzle began excitedly babbling.

"Hold on, I don't speak Puffball," Rainbow Dash couldn't help but chuckle a little, not as bothered this time by the antics of these two. "But I'm pretty sure you're both excited. Do you still have that pouch Azura gave you?"

"He does," Glee flew down to Rainbow Dash. "And how all he has to do is wait for the Tooth Fairy."

"Why is she still even here?"

Rainbow Dash knew at least some of the apprentices (most likely Sunburst) would take pleasure in poking at her for what she did. But to hear Faban just straight up ask how she was still in the group hurt worse than all the responses and insults she'd mentally prepared for.

"What are you talking about?" Rarity asked.

"Ruby told us that your friend here released Laverna!" Shimmer spat, hands on her hips. "And right before the Flight of Spring!"

Rainbow Dash felt herself curling inwards.

"It was just an accident," she muttered.

"It was treason!" Shimmer retaliated.

Sunburst landed in front of Rainbow Dash, her expression unreadable. But Rainbow Dash knew Sunburst would give her the worst of the comments.

"Go ahead," she sighed. "Can't make things worse than they already are."

However, Sunburst, in a move that shocked everyone around them, wrapped her arms around Rainbow Dash. "I'm sorry. I'm sure you didn't mean for this to happen."

She went back to join Shimmer and Faban, leaving behind a very confused girl.

"I guess disaster brings out the best in her," Linden commented.

Rainbow Dash wrinkled her nose a little. "A little too well, I'd say..."

"Gather around, everyone."

The apprentices turned to see Azura land in front of them.

"Due to recent events, all apprentices will rotate through evening patrols," she said. "Rainbow Dash and Sunburst will take the first watch. I wish you all an uneventful evening."

"More work for us," Shimmer rolled her eyes as Azura flew away. "Thanks a lot."

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes right back and looked away.

"Oh, it won't be so bad," Sunburst reassured. "Looks like I will see you tonight."

"Is it just me or is she giving me the heebie-jeebies?" Applejack furrowed her brows.

"Oh, yeah, very much yes," Rainbow Dash shrugged. "I'm assuming Pinkie won't tell us anything?"

"Thinks we should experience the plot firsthand."

"Of course she does."

In her room, Sunburst lazily flicked orbs of sparkly orange light around the air.

"Don't you just love the way the colors fly off my fingers?" she asked no one in particular. "I always wanted to be a Sparkle Fairy."

She sat up, the mirror reflecting her true self.

"Too bad I wasn't born that way," Laverna smiled in the mirror. She pulled out her communication device and contacted Max, who was still a toad.

"Your Eminence, so good to hear from you," he said. "I must say that..."

He paused, noticing the fairy in front of him. "Hello. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?"

"Drop it, Fungus, it's me," Laverna snapped. "I have a new assignment for you. A Firebird will bring you back to the Crystal Palace."

"Excellent news, Your Deviousness!" Max gushed.

"With your help, the Guardians won't be an issue, and The Flight of Spring will mark the day I get rid of my sister, the Enchantress, once and for all," Laverna said. "Can't you just taste it, Maxie? Finally, Fairytopia will be mine!"

Rainbow Dash immediately noticed a new detail in her room. Normally she wasn't the best at noticing things like that, but it was probably from the stress of everything.

A folded piece of parchment, with a short but creepy letter written inside.

"The time has come to face me one on one," she read, only vaguely aware of Bibble and Dizzle listening in. "Meet me in the Rustic Forest, the same place you set me loose. I will be waiting. Laverna."

She set down the letter. "Oh crap."

Bibble and Dizzle immediately began babbling like they wanted to help her.

"Okay, look, you're kinda annoying, but I'm not putting your lives in danger," she insisted. "Besides, it's my fault she's even loose in the first place. I have to finish this before one of my friends gets hurt."

Bibble and Dizzle, however, seemed slightly worried.
