Del ran to the house and to the kitchen to wash her hands, she placed a small chair in front of the sink then stepped on it, she reached her hands in the sink then turned on the tap
Her mother walks in the kitchen with a warm smile on her face as she's looking at her daughter who is washing her hands in the sink
"Hello mommy, do you need something?" Del asked politely without looking back at her mother
"Ah yes dear, can you call your father from upstairs? He's probably sleeping" the mother, Kyla said, she walks away then continues preparing the table
Del didn't say anything as she turns off the tap, jumps off the chair carefully then kicked the chair aside then ran off to head to the stairs
"Mathew and I raised a smart child" Kyla said to herself while smiling proudly
Del continued running up the stairs until she had reached the second floor of the house, there she sees her father, taking a nap on the window couch that is in the end of the bedrooms small hallway
Del shook her father trying to wake him up "Daddy, wake up it's lunch time" she keeps shaking him to wake him up, second later he is starting to open his eyes after a little movement from the shaking. He looked to his side and saw his daughter with her hands on his arm
"Ah Del, what is it?" The father, Mathew asked as he sat up
"Lunch is ready daddy" Del starts pulling her father by his hands trying to drag him with all her strength but can't because of her father's strength
Mather chuckled because he finds this adorable, he puts on his indoor slippers and lets the child drag him down stairs where the mom is waiting patiently. Kyla saw the father and daughter and giggled from the cuteness
"Seems tired Mat, what happened in the city?" Kyla asked as the two finally sat down
Mathew took a spoon of curry and ate it, he looked at his wife as he swallowed the curry, he started "Everything's fine, just a lot of paper works in the office, and of course the boss being an as-"
"Mathew" Kyla shushed him, she gestures to him by glancing at their daughter who is peacefully eating curry who stared at them confused
"I mean the boss being a bad guy bosses the other workers a little unfairly in the everyday issue" Mathew smiled nervously as the woman felt relieved. Del spoke
"Daddy, were you about to say a**?" This question stunned the parents and are pale or white as a ghost
"Kyla came back into her senses"Where did you learn that word?"
"I heard it in school, from one of the parents"
"Another silence, Mathew and Kyla got angry but didn't show it to Del, because why would someone, an adult or a parent perhaps would curse inside an elementary school knowing there are lots of children in that place, the both calmed down
"Mommy, Daddy, I'm finished" they both look at their daughter and see an empty plate in front of her
"Oh...oh I see" she nodded, Mathew continued his meal
"Del looks at her mother "Can I play outside again?"
Kyla nods as she scoops some curry "But before going out, you know" she reminds Del
Del ran to the kitchen with her plate and empty cup and put all of it in the kitchen the splashed water on the dirty place and cup. She runs out but not without waving goodbye to her parents and also not without the parents waving back
