"Just take some Tylenol and you'll be fine" The nurse, paying little to no attention, said as she left to go do whatever was more important than me at that moment. I didn't blame the poor lady though, it's difficult to believe anything happened to me when I felt better five minutes after and Kyle was going off about it like it was something straight out of a movie while I, I didn't even mention a word. It was difficult to explain how exactly I felt and with no symptoms at that moment or anything, I couldn't add anything to the conversation.

We look like kids trying too hard to skip school. It's quite bold of her to think I would come to see the nurse as a reason to leave when I could just lie to my dad I had menstrual cramps and he would immediately call the school, no questions asked.

"Gee thanks, we sure wouldn't have gotten that from thinking on our own" Kyle responded, more than ready to leave the place. "Come on child, you heard what she said, all you felt outside is just pain"

We left the place and stepped into the empty hallways. Realizing I didn't have any classes with Kyle was more than traumatizing. Now I'm going to have one kid going off about their lives to me when all I needed was rest. Can this stuff get any worse than it already is?

"If you meet ugly Jeremy In your class, don't go all shy okay? Give him a straight hard look and if you need any muscles to fight, I'm a call away"

No way on earth I'll start a fight with probably the most popular kid in school at the moment. Never forget the goal, we're graduating one of the most normal people on the planet but am I going to explain to Kyle that looked like he could squeeze the guy to the pulp? Of course not.

"Sure, why not"

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that. If I wasn't such a big baby about it, I would've walked with you and he wouldn't dare lay his fingers on you" Kyle gave me a big hug and I wouldn't lie, it made me feel happy I had someone in this good-for-nothing place. He could be nice sometimes you know, mostly dramatic but nice too.

"I'm glad you know you were a big baby"

"Don't ruin the moment"

Kyle and I split ways, already minutes late into our separate classes but thankfully with a good excuse attached to it this time. I checked to see if I had Biology and to a point it gave me peace, realizing that was one of the easiest classes I had. Although my seat partner, Esther, was a part of the cheerleading squad, clique, group, whatever they were, she never exceeded simple 'hi's and 'hey's and strictly academic discussions. There weren't permanently assigned seats but we just got to be beside each other like ninety percent of the time.

Bold of me to have thought my spot would be empty after strolling in minutes late and did I forget to include we have a new student in class?

I was allowed in by the teacher and guess who I saw occupying the seat I was supposed to be on? Oops, you guessed it wrong this time, it's Sasha, and yes, that Sasha. Who's right next to her? You may ask. It's Charles the swimmer kid who oddly had a crush on me for as long as I remember.

Alright alright, I'm just kidding with you.

Most of the seats were occupied but there were a few empty and no, it's not just the one beside Jeremy. This isn't a cliche high school story, try to keep up. He was next to somebody else that wasn't Lucius either even when he was right there in class. I was questioning their friendship at that point, they almost made it look like they were strangers.

Okay so back to the seat, I had to sit on an empty seat this time, with no partner or anything. Lucius was by the seat at my left and I wasn't going to sit next to him while by my right was Jeremy, bet that's what you wanted to hear from the start. He was also by himself, as it should be cause that's what people like him deserve.
