What is it?

Watching the clock ..she's drinking her life away.
She wonders if things will ever change
or will they forever be this way?

Tired of never feeling worthy
Like she's grotesque.. something out of a horror..
Something scary.

What is it about her that screams "never good enough"
Life throwing her constant surprises
To remind her why she needs to be so damn tough.

All she wants is a one woman man..
Not someone anyone can have
Time after time she's been given that kind of hand.

So, what is it about her..?
She's given up on questioning
why it even matters.

Another question rattles..
why to these type of people...
does she have to be so damn loyal?
