MATT WAS TAKEN ABACK WHEN HE found out that sophia didn't end up going home with the rest of her friends like he thought she would, but instead decided to come over to hang out with them. he wasn't mad about it or anything. definitely not mad. if anything, she weirdly was able to distract him from the fact that he was supposed to be mad at his brothers. usually jules would be able to do that for him, but she also had her own times with erin, nick, and chris. so she would leave him to himself at times.
which was when sophia came up to him. before, jules was laughing about how she had just missed the ball three times and landed it in the net on the fourth. he knows because he watched the whole thing and was laughing silently with her.
"what? did they just leave you to fend for yourself?" matt heard the voice coming from behind him, almost giving him a panic attack. until he realized it was only sophia.
"oh... i— uh," he said fumbling for his words as he sat back up from his slouched posture. something he doesn't usually do. all he knew was that he wanted jules back over here right this second. the thought of talking to this girl alone was starting to frighten him.
