"THIS IS INFERNO, an isolated island from which there is no escape, unless you're a couple. You are not allowed to reveal your job or your age to each other in inferno.Should you succeed in matching with a partner, you will be allowed to escape inferno to spend a night together in paradise. Now, please proceed to the cafeteria for lunch."

‎ ‎

After the announcement had been delivered, a few of the contestants couldn't help but chuckle nervously. The air felt a little thicker for unexplainable reasons to Soojin and her palms began to sweat a little. She wasn't scared, far from it, but the anxiety that she had been plagued with ever since childhood, chose to make itself known at the worst of times.

"Shall we?", Minwoo suggested gently, pointing towards the small cafeteria like area that none of them had bothered to pay attention to.

"Let's get going" somebody replied to the boy, as all of them began to rise up from their seats and make their way towards the little cafeteria. Despite it not being terrible, Soojin had expected it to be in slightly better condition, much like the previous seasons. It was cute however, she could not complain much. Walking towards the wooden boxes, Soojin and Jinseok chuckled upon finding raw carrots and cans of chicken breast. The girl wasn't even aware that chicken breast in cans existed in the first place, so all she could do was laugh and take a few steps back.

"Well," she clapped her hands together, a smile of disbelief still on her face, "There's our food, guys", she confirmed, but not that she needed to.

The other girls and boys pretended to be satisfied with the food options, except for Hyeseon, she might've actually been genuine and Soojin would not be surprised in the least. She seemed like a truly lovely and bubbly person that was happy about even the littlest things in life. It was honestly admirable.

"I found this", Gwanhee announced with a metal pick-like object in his hand, "I feel like they want us to dig for food".

The rest stood almost completely still, unsure of what to do or think in that situation, let alone with the gardening tool. Minyoung was the first to grab it, attempting to dig for something that her and Hyeseon hoped to be corn, but was disappointedly just a normal plant.

"I don't think we're gonna have any luck with that, sweetie", Soojin stood over her, petting her on the head a few times while she giggled at the girl.

‎ ‎

EVENTUALLY THE MEN and Hyeseon began to peel and cut the carrots, while the others stood and watched. There wasn't much to do, so their help wasn't necessarily needed anyway and if it had been, Soojin would have no problem lending a hand like she had offered before.

"I'm not good with my hands" Jinseok stated as he carefully struggled to peel the dirty skin off of the carrots.

"You're good at this." Minyoung spoke up and proceeded to chuckle shyly at her own comment, along with the others. "Sorry."

Youngjae however turned out to be surprisingly good at it, handling the knife with care as he already began to chop the carrots into pieces for everyone. Unbeknownst to him, Soojin couldn't help but lock her gaze on his hands and how they operated.

‎ ‎

"I like hands... i can't lie nor can i deny it. There's just something about them that catches my attention every single time and i'm not ashamed of it. So seeing how good Youngjae was with his hands... it was honestly impressive to me."
