Tim pov

Harper, Lopez and I went out for drinks that night.

"What up with you?" Lopez asked.

"Yeah, you're less annoying than usual." Harper chimed in.

"Nothing." I said in a high pitched tone.

But no matter how much I told them nothing was wrong, they wouldn't stop bugging me.

"No personal talk. Remember?" I told them.

"That's only in the shop, so spill it." Angela replied.

"Fine. My new rookie, Lucy, we slept together last night. Before we knew we were working together."

"Damn! You reckon she told the other two?" Lopez asked

"100%." I replied confidently.

"Well, I hope you can ignore it, Sergeant Cold-heart." Harper teased.

I rolled my eyes.

"Easy. Just don't talk about it, don't express any feelings."

Lucy pov

1 week later

The whole week was awkward. At least for me. All I wanted was to talk about what happened and what we had between us, but Tim clearly thought it was best to ignore it. So I tried. I tried so hard. But I couldn't stop thinking about it, about him.

Knock, knock.

It was end of shift and I wanted to thank Tim for training me so far.

"Come in!" His voice came from inside.

I opened the door, walking in.

"Hey, Boot."

I fought the urge to roll my eyes, I hated when he called me that.

"Hey Sergeant Bradford, I just wanted to thank you for helping me out with training this week."

"Don't thank me yet, it's only going to get harder." He said, taking a step towards me.

"Looking forward to it." I smiled at him.

Then all of a sudden there was a magnet pulling us together. We kissed.

We kept going and I felt his tongue slip into my mouth.

It was only growing more passionate when I heard footsteps behind me.

I broke away and spun around to see Angela standing there, shocked.
