Maybe I deserve better
Maybe I deserve more
but something about you
has always enticed me.
I see you with your friends
almost everyday
and something inside me
knows that you can never feel the same.
They don't do relationships
and I honestly don't know how to respond.
I see them with other people
and something inside me aches.
It feels like a knife
slots through my heart
But I cannot ever explain this feeling
because I wouldn't know where to start.
It's a painless pain
one that goes away.
One that hurts so much
until it physically cannot hurt anymore.
I hangout with them everyday
but everytime I have to make the effort.
I have to act like I don't like them
but all I want to do is tell them I do.
