They can say that my love is a sin.
They can say it's something that will never be.
They can tell me not to take it on the chin.
My heart is locked, and only you have the key.
I smile when I see your name on my phone.
I laugh when you laugh at me
and it's never in a rude way because I never feel alone.
Why can't you just see that we're meant to be?
I can't force you to love me.
I can't force you to care.
Whenever you're around, I cannot let you be.
Everything you say makes me more aware
that you clearly don't love me
and this love definitely won't be for others to see.
