When I realized it was him I sobbed even harder. He sat on the floor and hugged me so tight. He pulled away, and I saw that he had been crying.
"I'm s-so sorry James. He kissed me! I d-didn't expect it an-"
"Shh, baby it's ok. I'm so so sorry for leaving. I'm an asshole. I made you cry, and I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for that. I love you so much Idina. Please forgive me."
My breathing steadied and I fell into his arms. He rocked me back and forth, and I stopped crying.
James P.O.V
We got up off of the floor and I walked Idina to her bed. Joby looked worried so I mouthed "everything is okay". She smiled and went to her bed. The beds were more like cubbies, and they really weren't big enough for two, but tonight we made it work. She held on to me tighter than usual and every time I moved she looked up. I then realized she was scared of me leaving.
"Idina baby, I'm not going anywhere. No matter what, I'll be here I promise."
She smiled and eased her grip on me. She snuggled up to me and soon we both fell asleep.
Idina's P.O.V
I woke up to James placing kisses on my neck.
"Mmh. Good morning." I said, sleepily.
"Actually...it's good afternoon." He said, laughing.
"What! James! Why did you let me sleep that long? Walker and Oliver need to eat!"
"Calm down babe, they are fed and clean. I took that responsibility today, and you might wanna check Twitter." He said, winking.
"What the fuck did you do?" I asked.
"Not only me, Joby helped."
I looked for my phone and saw that Joby and James tagged me in photos. Joby posted a picture of me and James cuddled up together with the caption, "they just can't keep their hands off of each other! #lovebirds" and James posted a picture of me sleeping with the caption "she's beautiful even in her sleep! #wifegoals" I smiled and James laughed.
My phone started ringing and it was Taye. James saw and put an arm around me.
"I-I can't answer." I said, nervously.
"Want me too?" He asked.
I handed my phone over to him and James pushed answer.
"Hi, this is James. See, you put us through a lot of shit last night, and we had one of our worst fights. No means no, you need to learn that."
"We were together for years, you know she misses me."
James suddenly hung up, and handed me my phone. He was fine at first, but he seemed distant.
A few hours went by and once the kids were occupied I motioned for him to sit by me.
"Baby, whats wrong?" I asked.
"Do you miss Taye? I mean you have too. You were together for so long." He said, looking down.
I sighed. "James, I love you. Sure, I wish things were better between me and Taye, but romantically I don't miss him. As a friend, of course. He was one of my best friends."
James nodded and put his arm around me. I leaned into him and we sat in silence. Not uncomfortable silence, just silence. Walker walked up to us and jumped up in my lap.
"Hey hon, whats up?"
He whispered something in James' ear, which made me suspicious, but I ignored it. After a while James nudged Walker and they both started ticking me.
"No!" I squealed. James laughed and continued tickling me. I kicked my feet as Walker giggled and went to go play with Oliver.
"James! P-please!" I yelled, laughing uncontrollably.
He laughed and stopped. I caught my breath and he leaned in and kissed me. "Aren't we cute?" He said.
"The cutest." I added.
