I awoke the next morning snuggled up to James, as usual. He stirred, and sleepily grinned at me.
"Good morning beautiful." He said, kissing my forehead.
"Good morning." I replied.
"You know, we could just stay like this all day." He said through a yawn.
"As much as I wish we could, we have a show today."
"Yeah, at 8!" He said, pouting.
I picked up a pillow and hit him.
"Ow!" He said, rubbing his chest.
"Are you okay?" I said, I didn't think I would actually hurt him.
"You seem to have forgotten I'm an actor." He said, tickling me.
"James! S-stop!" I said, through
laughter.
"Only if you agree to go on a date with me after the show!" He said.
"Okay!"
He stopped and smiled.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing" he said, getting up.
Later on in the day, I heard James talking to someone, and I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but he was in the next room, so it wasn't hard.
"Thank you so much Mr. Menzel!" I heard him say.
Why is he speaking with my dad? I
wondered.
I decided to walk in the room he was in, but he had already hung up the phone when I walked in.
"Hey! Um, I was just...cleaning."
I lifted an eyebrow.
"Hmm, you...cleaning? That doesn't sound right." I teased.
"Well, I was! I was looking for the vacuum!" He said, looking down.
"Hmm, and the vacuum goes by the name of 'Mr. Menzel?" I slyly asked.
"Okay, you caught me. I was asking your dad what your favorite restaurant was in New York." He said.
"I thought you knew my favorite restaurant."
"I forget things very easily." He said,
walking out.
"Hmm, okay." I said.
James is such a terrible liar.
