486. War Effects

Just as predicted, the world is in turmoil as soon as the news of Marie Geoise's fall spread. Everyone is shocked that the Capital of the world, Marie Geoise has been destroyed. After all, it is the most defended city, the strongest in the world, and a pirate crew managed to destroy it.

What shocks people more is the fact that one man managed to cut a big chunk of that massive Red Line. Those who have seen the Red Line obviously can't believe it at first. That is until they see the picture of the chopped Red Line.

Well, even those who have seen it in person are having a hard time believing it. Such a thing as someone cutting the massive Red Line wall is simply impossible in people's minds. But they can't deny it with the proof lay bare in front of their eyes.

This actually causes another effect that's different from what was predicted. Instead of having many pirate crews rushing to the New World, there are only some that even try to go there. Most of them are just staying on Sabaody or even going to other islands in Paradise.

They are afraid to enter the New World because the monster that cut the Red Line is there. There aren't many that have the courage to face such a powerful and dangerous monster like Buggy. They know well that compared to Buggy, they are much too weak and can be defeated with a flick of his finger.

Well, they know that the chance of meeting Buggy is low because he is only one person, but they don't want to take any risk. Furthermore, even if they don't meet and fight him, they still won't have the chance to spread their names and become great pirates in the New World as long as he is still there.

Most pirates don't just like wealth, but also fame and obviously power. Those are their desire, and that's why many are chasing One Piece. It's relatively easy for the Red Hair Pirates to stop those pirates. They just need to make sure they can't coat their ships. So the Red Hair Pirates are 'asking' the coaters to not take any coating jobs for a while and Rayleigh helps them 'talk' with his fellow ship coaters.

Because they can't go to New World through Fishman Island, some idiots are trying to go there by climbing the Red Line. There is a much lower part now after Buggy chopped the Red Line. They are trying to cross the Red Line through that chopped part.

The Red Hair Pirates don't even try to stop those idiots. After all, they can't do anything even if they succeed in climbing the Red Line and moving to the New World's side. They can't bring their ships over the Red Line even though the chopped part is much lower than the original height.

Not only it's very difficult to lift the ships up the wall, but it's also very difficult to drag the ship over the Red Line because the Red Line is actually very wide. Their ships' bottoms will break before they can even sail and even if they succeed, the New World's harsh sea will break their weakened ships' hulls.

Well, although the real reason the Red Hair Pirates don't try to stop those idiots is because the chopped part already has guards. It is guarded by the ones who created this whole mess, the Clown Pirates.
