"Children, too tight! Too tight!" Hestia breathed out, squirming beneath the five children she helped raise and train over the years. The group had just woken the Olympians who were previously asleep, gathered those from Tartarus who were banished, and were now waiting for the trial to start. The trial to decide what would be done with their enemies. They, of course, greeted their parents, but now wanted to show Hestia, who had been missing far longer than others, some love. The five backed away, wanting to give Hestia some air.
"I'm so proud of you, children. You've done it again. Thank you." Hestia said to the five of them, cupping Amara's cheek as she spoke.
"Thank Mother Gaia for making us immune. If it weren't for her, we wouldn't have been able to defeat them." Donovan said before Ares came into the room, gaining the attention of all in there.
"It is time." Ares said, holding the bedroom door of Amara's open. The five including Hestia left the room and walked downstairs and throughout the palace to the throne room to see the committee that consisted of Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Hephaestus, and Hermes sitting in their thrones. Hestia and Ares, who were also a part of the committee, then left the group's side and approached their thrones, lowering themselves quietly as Zeus prepared to speak.
"It is time for the trial to commence." Zeus said as the room flooded with Olympians to witness the trial. "Bring in the traitors." Zeus continued. Not a moment after, Aphrodite, Helios, and Polyphemus were brought forth. They were thrown to the ground and held down, unable to move. Noelle bit her tongue, wanting to hold back what she had to say. Heath took notice of this and took her hand in his own. Poseidon watched from a distance, glaring at Heath.
"Where are the others?" Hera asked, turning to the group who stood in the middle of the room.
"Melinoe was banished." Heath answered.
"And what of Medusa?" Athena asked her daughter. Amara stood there playing with her fingers. She knew she couldn't tell any of the committee the truth or else she'd be punished as well.
"I disposed of her properly. You'll never have to worry about her again." Amara replied. Athena narrowed her eyes. Knowing her daughter well, she could tell her answer wasn't entirely truthful. Before she could say anything else, Zeus spoke up.
"Since neither Aphrodite nor Helios can be killed for their crimes, we have decided that they will either be put under the same sleeping spell used on us for.. roughly about a millennia, or banished to Tartarus." Zeus started. "Part of your reward for taking care of our enemies, Heath, Amara, and Donovan, is something the committee and I have never allowed. You will get the final decision of what is done with them." Zeus finished. Noelle scoffed and shook her head, not making eye contact with any of the committee.
"Have something to say, mortal?" Hera asked, raising a brow at Noelle. Noelle's eyes caught hers. She bit the inside of her cheek to hold back what she had to say but knew it wouldn't help.
"Actually, I do." Noelle said. Some of the committee sat there amused, others sat annoyed.
Here we go
Heath, Zander, Amara, and Donovan all thought. Noelle read their thoughts but didn't bother reacting.
"I think your choices for punishment are unfair. Aphrodite did what she did because the men in Olympus made her feel less than what she is." Noelle said.
"And what is she?" Hera asked.
"A powerful Goddess, just like the rest of the women here. And she's just as powerful and capable of leading as the men in charge." Noelle continued.
