We quickly got inside the auditorium and sure enough we found two seats for ourselves
We were gossiping among ourselves when a girl from the news club came to me and said
" hi adhya, we need a help from you"
"Yes, what is it? " I smiled at her unknowingly what was about to come
"Okay so the girl who was assigned as the host suddenly fell really I'll and couldn't come today and so the thing is that we want you to be the host"
My breathe hitched and it took me a moment to realize what was actually going on
"ME? I haven't hosted any occasions before so idk how to do it" I said panicking because I don't wanna go up on that stage with thousands of people staring at me sorry to say but I'm really socially awkward
"Please adhya please save this day for us please don't say you're our last hope"
The girl literally begged to me and I couldn't say no so yes I gave in and got to the backstage to prepare everything

I reached the venue and my eyes kept searching for her
But she wasn't in my sight, I got inside the auditorium and sat on my reserved spot
The program started and I heard it
Her soothing voice that could melt the ice the voice which is sweeter than honey the voice that has me on my knees the voice that was enchanted by the god itself THAT VOICE.
My heart started beating like crazy when the curtains started to rise
And the there she is
The love of my life, my jaan
She looked so beautiful in that saree that I couldn't take my eyes off her she is mesmerizing
The way I want to fall for her deeper than the mariana trench
Suddenly I was shaken up by none other than Rudra
" Sir stop having stars in your eyes it's pretty obvious and dumb"
"Owh shut up I didn't have stars in my eyes" I said protesting
"Yes you did" Rudra said proving his point and he won cause what he said was definitely true
She started speaking again and my eyes didn't leave her for even once

I got up on stage and it was time the curtains slowly start to lift up and there i was facing a crowd of thousand
After a while I finally uttered a word and when finish one course of my hosting the applaud gave me a gush of confidence and I felt fearless
That is how the function was coming to an end and it was time for farewell speech, I said to my self internally 'You got this'

After I finished my speech there was a whole round of applause some were crying some were laughing some were hugging each other while saying their good byes whilst some where busy planning their future everything was a blissful mess but everyone felt at peace
