I watched as Vale's beach came into view from my commander's cupola, I was shifted around in my commander's seat in the turret.

"Still don't like riding these boats into battle?" Leonis commented. I rolled my eyes at the same time as Neopolitan did. He chuckled, "You two get more and more alike by the day." He commented. I sighed as I looked back out my cupola, the ramp slowly lowered with a metal creak before a muffled thunk.

"Forward, Laura." I ordered, after a brief moment the tank jerked forward as the engine roared with life. The tank bounced on its suspension before steading as we rolled up the beach. The breach constantly bobbing up and down as we drove, large concrete sea walls ran up the sides of the beach with destroyed sections acting as our entry point into the shoreline towns. I brought the unit to a halt once we reached a crossroads, everyone on guard.

"Do you sense anything?" I asked Neopolitan. She nodded slowly, opening the gunner's hatch and looking around before pointing to a window of a corner building. "What?" I asked before the M-51 behind me erupted into flames, flames shot out of the barrel and every hatch on the tank. I frantically looked around to see a horrifying image of any armored vehicle. A grimmified Atlas soldier, its hand developing the grip of an RPG launcher.

I scrambled out the turret and grabbed the top mounted .50 cal sitting in the center of the turret before firing at the creature. The rounds quickly tore the weak flesh of the grimmified person, who quickly disintegrated before the tank shook with a thunderous BOOM. I tightened my grip on my machine gun to keep me standing as I looked where the barrel was pointed. An Atlas paladin, covered in swatches of Grimm solution, stood, a large hole releasing gasses and sparks bounced around remained in its shoulder. My eyes widened,

"Leonis, did that thing just-" I paused, my mind spinning as I stared at the towering machine.

"Yes sir, I'm loading another HEAT shell." Leonis swiftly answered before firing another round, this time, when the shell made impact, not only did it over penetrate the armor, the entire frontal portion erupted into a gooey explosion. I watched as the solution began creating Grimm pools as I trained my .50 cal on one. For a long moment, nothing happened, I waited for something to crawl from the pools, yet nothing. After another long moment of anticipation, an explosion erupted from the ground next to the M-51, tossing it onto the side, sending me into the ground. A platoon of marines ran up the sandy slope behind us before firing on the windows around us, trying to figure out where the blast had come from. Neopolitan crawled out of the tank's gunner hatch before kneeling down next to me. I remained on the ground, clutching at my arm as I groaned in pain.

A sadistic smile formed on her face as she looked down at me, she gently tapped my cheek with her parasol, her finger pressed against the release. I bit my tongue and held my breath before she put her hand out to me, the same sadistic smile on her face. I let out a heavy sigh of relief as I took her hand,

"I thought you were gonna kill me for a second." I stated, she rolled her eyes and kicked her hip out to the side, placing her hand on it as she did. I rolled my eyes, "With you, you never know." I remarked as a sudden crack echoed in the air before a bullet zipped by and nailed a trooper in the head. I flinched at the unexpected return fire,

"Break for cover!" I shouted out, my marines scattered for cover before a sergeant ran in front of me and Neopolitan with a riot shield to cover us, he kicked his L1A1 behind him and to my feet. I picked it up before moving up to his back,

"What are we looking at Sergeant?" I asked.

"Team JNPR is up ahead." He grimly replied.

"Fuck." I cursed under my breath, I looked over his shoulder and met the gaze of the four grimmified huntsmen. I looked to Neopolitan before nodding, signaling her to get ready to fight. Before I could launch music blasted in the sky, I arched an eyebrow before recognizing the music, the 60th Air Assault. I frowned as the wing of UH-1 Hueys came into view. I bit my tongue as they flew overhead, releasing a light barrage of Mighty Mouse Rockets and 7.62mm chain gun rounds at team JNPR, one even dropped a present next to me as they passed overhead. I reluctantly opened the small wrapped box and found a radio,
