"UGH!"

I clomp around my room, the already beaten wooden boards below me wailing as my steel hooves abuse their dented surface more.

"That fucking... kvetch," my metal claws dig into their palms, metal against metal causing a sharp, unpleasant whine, "why can't he just be insouciant for once! I don't understand why he always seems to have a burden!"

My vexation tears through me, clawing its way through my already lacerated mind. I raise my hands towards my pounding temples, clutching my curls and furiously yanking them. I plunge to my knees, a thunderous thud resounding across the residence. I dive to all fours, banging my steel mitts against the floorboards in pique. The red oak sags with each impact, groaning as it appears more fatigued by the second.

My ire finding the assault of hardwood not gratifying enough, the steel of my hands converge with the flesh of my face, clawing at my skin. I repeatedly rake my talons through my cheeks and forehead, deriving an abnormal relief from the torture.

Blood seeps under my metal nails, threatening to rust my digits. I drop my arms and my torso follows them to the floor, heaving. I roll onto my back, ichor trickling down my face, abrasive to the floor. As my anger simmers down, I start to feel a stinging manifest around my gashes.

I haul myself to my feet, staggering over to the mirror clinging to my wall. I stare at my features in the reflective glass, the photons glaring right back at me. I watch as droplets of blood crawl down my surface, leaving remnants of their essence in a trail. I snatch a nearby rag and drag it across my face, swabbing the blood off.

I sigh, seating myself and staring in the mirror as I wait for the scratches to cease their draining. I truly need to stop liberating my rage by letting it coerce me into harming myself.
