Chapter 7

The next morning you awake and look over at Josh. He slowly opens his eyes, waking just a few seconds after you. Its Christmas morning, but you won't be spending the day any different than any other.

"Morning," he smiles at you. You kiss him,

"Morning," you say. You get out of bed and ready. You decide to give Josh a ride home so he can get ready as well before you bring him to the hospital to get his hand x-rayed. You pull up in front of his house and he goes inside to get ready. He comes back to the car only minutes later and you bring him to the hospital hoping for the best. After the X-ray is finished the doctor comes to you and Josh with the results.

"He doesn't have any broken bones. Only a slight sprain which should heal in a few days." You smile at Josh and he hugs you. Then he thanks the doctor and you and Josh head out to your run-down car. Before entering, Josh turns to you,

"You know, I never did get to thank you for pulling me out of the way. You saved me." You recall the memory, as Matt was getting ready to punch Josh in the stomach you pulled him away and Matt punched the door.

"I didn't save you," your eyes meet, "You saved me." He smiles and you wrap your arms around him and kiss him. He puts his hand on your face and continues kissing you as a soft snow starts to fall around you.

Eventually the 27th comes around and you finally get to go with Josh to Hawaii! He was so thoughtful to do this!

"This is going to be great," he says. You hug him and both board the plane. After 5 hours of flying, you can finally see the island. You look out the window to see luscious green plants scattered everywhere. A sparkling blue ocean, and flowers lining palm trees all around. You land and exit the plane with Josh by your side. You enter a large hotel and find your way to your room. When you enter you realize that you and Josh will be sharing a bed for an entire week...

"So what do you want to do first?" Josh says while unpacking his suitcase. You think for a while and say with a smile,

" I've always wanted to try surfing."

"Sounds great, let me change into my swimsuit first," he says. He walks into the bathroom and comes out moments later wearing swimming trunks. He looks hot! You enter the bathroom after him and put on a bikini that Josh bought for you. You're a little self conscious at first but you slip on the top and bottoms and leave the bathroom. He walks over to you and kisses you,

" You look amazing in that," he says. And you head out to the beach.

The warm, soft sand is beneath your feet and Josh walks over with 2 surfboards.

"Have you ever done this before?" He asks looking at you.

"No, but you can teach me," you smile at him.

"Here," he smiles handing you your surfboard," watch me."

You take the surfboard and watch as he paddles his way out to the ocean. The sun is glistening on his hair and his abs are practically glowing in the sunlight. A wave comes over and he dives under the water and comes out a second later riding the wave like a pro! You smile and give him a thumbs up. He falls into the water and starts to swim back to shore.

"Your turn," he says grabbing you by the hand. You get in the water and lay flat on top of your surfboard and paddle out into the ocean with Josh right next to you on his. He explains what to do and how to hold your balance. You nod and see a wave building up in front of you. You look over at Josh.

"Don't worry, just go for it," he smiles. The wave approaches and you dive into the water and pop up inside the wave. Your surfing! You're actually doing it for about 3 seconds and you tumble over into the wave. You head back out to where Josh was. He's not there. Expecting him to be on the beach, you stride back up on shore feeling very lightheaded. The ground starts spinning beneath you and then everything goes black.
