Professor Minerva McGonagall had a talent for predicting which students at Hogwarts would end up together. She had accurately guessed many student relationships throughout her years of teaching and the staff had learned that she was almost always right. They were hardly surprised when she announced a new prediction, even the most unlikely ones, and were rarely shocked when she was right. The staff made a game of these parings and soon small amounts of money were being bet for each of her new guesses. However, despite only being wrong once, Professor Minerva McGonagall's colleagues were shocked when she announced her newest hypothesis.

"Never!" An astounded professor exclaimed "It just won't happen!"

McGonagall was not surprised by the reactions of the other teachers, in fact she expected it. She doubted anyone saw anything other than friendship between the two of them. But she had been watching student relationships for longer than anyone else at Hogwarts and was certain that by the time they graduated, just two and a half years later, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin would be dating.
