2 days before the engagement.

I walked on the white ceramic tile of my office. My throat was gulping down the coffee I bought a few minutes ago.

My blue eyes gazed at all the employees who were working but suddenly stood from their seats for me.

Entering my cabin, I sat on my office chair and reviewed some files that were already placed on my table.

The black and white wall tiles behind me perfectly touched my cabin. The mini sculpture of an erupting volcano on my table was referred to as my blood. How my blood boils when someone crosses their fucking limits with me.

In a quick time, while I was going through the files, I heard a knock at the door. I let the man come. It was my assistant. I saw his hands carrying a kind of card. He came to my table and said while forwarding his hands,

"Mam this is for you."

I nodded and took the card from him. I opened the card just to find an invitation. An invitation of what?

My Ex! Great!

As his company's shareholder, I was also invited. Not such a good idea to make me jealous Rayan.

My quick mood swings made me need a cigarette now! I pulled my Louis Vuitton purse for my lighter but to my mercy, it wasn't there.

"Can you bring a lighter from my car?" I said to my assistant who was standing still in his place.

"But mam, smoking isn't allowed in the building."

What the fuck??? How did he have this much courage to reply to me like that?

"I know. But bring it."

"But mam rules..." Before he could complete his sentence I cut him off,

"I am the boss and for me, there are no rules, but I can follow one rule of firing you because of replying to me!"

"I am sorry. I'll bring it." He quickly nodded and disappeared from my cabin at once.

How can someone hold the courage to inform their boss about the rules of the building?

My eyes went to the invitation again and a blood of jealousy rushed down my body.

How can someone be so ill and dumb for sending a card of engagement to whom they used to make in the belief of a future together?

I was not too fond of this act of you, Mr. Rayan Mehra. You'll surely pay for all the pieces of my shattered heart.
