Chapter 23: Side Effects.

Here we see Danie floating above Amity Park, looking down on everyone minding their own business as she sighed.

Danie: How did it come to this?

Flashback last week.

Here we see Danny, Star, Danie and Kiko coming from the movie theater and Danny telling Danie that she and Star are gonna be away next week.

Danie: Woah what? What about you two aren't gonna be here?

Danny: Well me and Star and our folks, minus Jazz, are all going to a dude ranch.

Danie: Ohh awesome, Star explain?

Star: My dad thought it would be a good idea to have some family bonding time ever since the country club incident.

Danie: Oh yeah but everything worked out in the end didn't it?

Star: Yeah but my folks-

Danny: And mine.

Star: Still feel awful about what they did and said, especially my mom.

Danie: Ahh gotcha, and she thought about going somewhere... less fancy is more to Danny's taste huh?

Star: Yeah a little.

Danny: And that's where you come in. *Sees Kiko looking at him* you two come in.

Danie: What do you mean?

Danny: Well we need someone to protect the town in case there's a ghost attack.

Star: And besides Dani, you are the only other half ghost here...

Danie then realized what they were implying.

Danie: Woah woah woah, back up, you want me? to protect the town? Without you two?

Star and Danny: Yep.

Danie: Ah geez...

Danny: Danie come on you saved the entire universe.

Danie: Yeah from aliens, I can barely keep up with ghosts, especially from Plasmius and that Spector Island monster guy.

Star: But you beat her.

Danie: Yeah if it wasn't for Paulina trapping him and Vlad inside that thermos.

Danny: Don't worry Danie, your parents are ghost hunters too right?

Danie: Well yeah but-

Star: So you have nothing to worry about, you got this.

Danny: And Sam and Tucker can help you just in case. Well Tucker maybe.

Danie: Yeah, you're both right, you're both absolutely right. I can do this.

Flashback ends.

Danie: They're right, I can do this. Heh, no pressure.

Kiko squeaked and touched Danie's cheek and gave her a reassuring smile.

Danie: Thanks Kiko.

Kiko gave her a thumbs-up.

Later that day, we then faded to Casper High School. A teacher is looking at something in slight awe.

Mr. Falluca: Fascinating. Possibly some of the most interesting mandibular formations I've ever seen. *Zoom out to show him looking at a giant ghost bug* I hope I don't end up seeing it from the inside!

Danie then appears behind the bug and phases into the ground right underneath and she then tackles the bug through the ceiling.

Danie: Back off scum bug!
