Asteria sat at the edge of her bed, her eyes narrowing up as she heard footsteps before realizing it was Percy "I talked to Chiron" Asteria raised her eyebrows "We talked about Luke. Apparently he had explained why he planned on taking down Olympus" Asteria nodded not wanting to talk about the topic "Sorry" He noticed the girls expression
"It's fine. I should probably get up. You're leaving soon" Asteria quickly got up "It's fine, you're tired. You don't have to come" He worried "I want to go with you."
"I have my bags already. Did it last night when i couldn't sleep" She murmured picking up a backpack that was obviously overpacked "You sure it's a good idea? You know going to be with you're dad?" He questioned, usually Asteria would stay the full term. But without Luke she couldn't.
"I can give it a try. I probably won't like it, but i can't stay here. Not right now atleast." Percy nodded slowly holding the bag for her "Let's meet up with the others" Asteria suggested taking the bag out of the boys hands
"It's gonna be weird you know. Not being at camp" Asteria began as Percy had an arm around "Well sorta" Percy laughed as they reached Thalia's tree "Hey guys!" The pair greeted, as Grover ran up the hill "I got it."
"Where is it?" Annabeth asked, smiling at Asteria. "Is that you Searcher's liscene?" Grover was quick to say 'Yes'. Asteria always knew this was something Grover always wanted. "Officially authorized to begin the quest for Pan!"
"Where you gonna start?" The teens wanted full details "Well it seems like every inch of the natural worlds been checked, noted and footnoted. Then checked again. The councils theory is that pan is always on the move, and it's all about timing but no one bothered to check the seas."
"The seas? Might as-well get him on the quest" Asteria gestured towards the blonde boy "If you ever need my help" Percy began "I'll find you."
"Listen. Let's make a pact. Right now" Percy suggested "No matter what happens, we meet back here next year. All of us. Right here. Deal?" It seemed unbelievable the amount of time they've spending away from eachother
They all smiled at eachother, before getting into a group hug. "Let's all say goodbye to eachother" Grover suggested, walking towards Percy leaving the two girls to talk
"I don't want to end on bad terms" Annabeth began "We aren't on bad terms, we've never been. We'll atleast for me" Asteria smiled "Okay good. Im also sorry about last night. I don't know what got into me" Annabeth never apologized, that's how Asteria knew she truly meant it "I forgive you. And im also sorry"
Annabeth hugged Asteria tightly "Maybe we can actually get along now" They giggled "Hopefully." She smiled "Okay my turn with Asteria" Grover shout as Annabeth groaned pulling away from the hug
"Congrats on the license, i know how much you've wanted it" Asteria smiled "Thank you. Im sorry about not being here last night. I wish i could've comforted you" Grover brought up "It's fine. You're here now and you're always been here for me. Don't got hard on yourself" Asteria pulled Grover into a hug "I'll miss you, lots"
"Don't make me cry, i think ive had enough" Asteria joked "Too soon?" She asked taking in Grover's expression, as laughed "Honestly don't know what im going to do without" Asteria gave a weak smile. "You're acting like you aren't going to see me again" She nudged his arm
"Let me have this moment" He complained "But on a serious note, how are you guys going to do a year without eachother" Grover gestured towards Percy "No clue." She hadn't thought about that.
"Okay im gonna talk to Annabeth. I love you as a sister. See you next year Asteria" Grover gave her last one hug walking away "Finally my turn" Percy was being sarcastic, as he pulled Asteria into a hug "Im actually going to miss you, alot" She admitted
"We'll keep touch, don't worry" He reassured as she placed her head on his shoulder "I got you something, well i made it. Sort of?" He ranted pulling out a silver bracelet. "Since you gave me yours, Well more like im keeping it. But i wanted to give you one." He handed it to Asteria. Her finger running over the engraving that spelled out 'Percy'
"I like it. Thank you" She immediately put it on "Im glad" Asteria laughed "Promise me, that once we see eachother again nothing will change" He asked her "I promise"
She loved this.
"We have to go" She mumbled into his shoulder. She wanted to tell him so badly. "This isn't goodbye, more like a see you later" He reassured not making it any easier "Bye Astie." He whispered "Bye Percy" She pulled away from the hug. As Percy leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Hope that clears something up" He whispered but she didn't hear "See you soon!" She yelled as the walked in the opposite direction.
𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐢⸻speaks ACTUALLY THIS IS SUCH A SHORT ENDING BUT. Im already working on the sequel tbh. I can't wait to see their relationship expand in the upcoming books. I might go back and edit this book. But tysm for all the love and support. Ill let you guys know when im releasing the sequel.
