Odyssues grieving polites (from epic the musical) ((depressing version))

Polites all but bounded excitedly ti the cabin on the boat that Odysseus and he had been living in. Polites was couldn't wait to see Odysseus again, after being nearly killed by Polyphemus Polites had spent days in a coma before he finally woke up. After another week of healing he was finally able to get up and see Odysseus who had not come once to visit. Throwing open the door polites stopped in sheer horror. In the middle of the room was Odysseus hanging from a noose around his neck that was tied to a rafter in the ceiling. His friend's body was ashen and peaking off in some places. Sobbing polites felt his knees hit the floor as he found a note that odysseus left. With shaking hands Polites opened the letter

I know I am a captian and a king but I could not continue with my life knowing that I am personally responsible for the death of my brother, Polites. His death and the deaths of every other man who has died for this stupid cause.
