Time Heals

Time heals every wound
or so I've heard.
Could it be just so kind
to spare me that healing,
the dreaded unfeeling?

May I, please, have the gift
of open wounds
and constant pain?
Barely to know
each and every spot you've kissed.

Loving you
has bore no loss.
Lately, it's been a coin toss
to content my soul
with memories so few
or flee this land
and fly to you.

I smile nevertheless
to solely caress
the lips you felt,
and the heart you touched.
trying to earn
a glimpse,
a meager meeting
in my dizziest of dreams.
